  • Patent number: 11935252
Abstract: A system and method to collect feedback data from a patient wearing an interface such as a mask when using a respiratory pressure therapy device such as a CPAP device. The system includes a storage device including a facial image of the patient. An interface in communication with the respiratory pressure therapy device collect operational data from when the patient uses the interface. A patient interface collects subjective patient input data from the patient in relation to the patient interface. An analysis module correlates a characteristic of the interface with the facial image data, operational data and subjective patient input data.

  • Publication number: 20240046461
Abstract: A system and method to determine a sleep disorder in a patient is disclosed. A storage device stores a digital image including a face and a neck of the patient. A database stores previously identified phenotypes and dimensions of facial and neck features. A sleep disorder analysis engine is coupled to the storage device and the database. The sleep disorder analysis engine is operable to identify features of the face and the neck from the image by determining landmarks on the image. The sleep disorder analysis engine classifies at least one phenotype from the image based on comparisons with the database. The sleep disorder analysis engine correlates the at least one phenotype and at least one feature with a sleep disorder. The sleep disorder analysis engine determines a risk score of the sleep disorder based on the correlation of the phenotype and the feature.

  • Publication number: 20230098579
Abstract: Apparatus and methods automate selection of patient interface(s). Image data captured by an image sensor may contain facial feature(s) of a user. The facial features may be captured in association with a predetermined reference feature of known dimension(s) such as with a user interface display that is generated with a sequence of icons that are activated for directing and tracking movement within the interface for desired image capture. The user's facial feature(s) and the reference feature may be detected in the captured image data. The image may be processed to measure an aspect of the detected facial feature(s) based on the reference feature. A patient interface size may be detected from standard patient interface sizes based on a comparison between the measured aspect of the facial feature(s) and a data record relating sizing information of the standard patient interface sizes and the measured aspect of the facial feature(s).

  • Publication number: 20230000396
Abstract: A system includes a sensor configured to generate data associated with movements of a resident for a period of time, a memory storing machine-readable instructions, and a control system arranged to provide control signals to one or more electronic devices. The control system also includes one or more processors configured to execute the machine-readable instructions to analyze the generated data associated with the movement of the resident, determine, based at least in part on the analysis, a likelihood for a fall event to occur for the resident within a predetermined amount of time, and responsive to the determination of the likelihood for the fall event satisfying a threshold, cause an operation of the one or more electronic devices to be modified.
