  • Publication number: 20200281992
Abstract: A strain of Bifidobacterium longum APC 1472 is described. The strain has weight lowering effects in-vivo, achieved through inducing satiety via decreased internalisation of the Ghrelin receptor, and therefore, decreased constitutive activity. Moreover, the strain also showed a trend towards decreased ghrelin receptor hypothalamic expression in HFD-fed mice when compared with vehicle control group. The strain also improves glucose tolerance and decreased insulin plasma levels in mice, indicating the strain in the prevention and/or treatment of Type II diabetes, especially in obese individuals.

  • Publication number: 20160014002
Abstract: For monitoring traffic in a communications network, network protocol requests sent over the network are obtained. The resulting network protocol responses sent over said network are also obtained. It is then determined which request corresponds to which response and each request and corresponding response pair is stored as a single request-response record. Preferably, the time of capture of the request in each record is stored. Moreover, a request lookup key may be created from specific attributes of the request. The requests and responses preferably adhere to the domain name system (DNS) protocol.

  • Publication number: 20160006626
Abstract: Units of data are obtained from a communications network. Each unit of data comprises a plurality of attributes and is associated with a respective timestamp. For analysing the network communications data, a time interval is specified, and for that time interval a signature is generated by a signature generator 120 from each unit of network communications data whose timestamp is in that time interval. The number of occurrences of each distinct signature in that time interval is counted, and a resulting table of counts corresponding to each signature is stored in a record store 40. The table of counts represents a time series of domain name system (DNS) queries in a network.

  • Publication number: 20040137956
Abstract: The Rapid Outgoing Message Read-out System (ROMROS) is a process or method with applications, including hardware and software, by which individuals placing calls, by telephone or any electronic device, to a party with a multi-option Outgoing Message, can peruse and interact with OM text readouts on a touch-screen or other device, rather than listen and respond to often time-consuming audio-voice options, thereby accessing the desired information, live attendant, or other end-use more rapidly than can be achieved through audio-voice options trees.

  • Patent number: 4229933
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a separable mower blade comprising a stem portion affixed to the drive axis of a rotary type mower shaft, a blade connected thereto and a slot disposed on the blade for reception of a bolt which is affixed to the stem portion so as to fasten the two together. A shroud is provided over the area of interconnection so as to firmly affix the two elements, the blade and the stem together and is so constructed to allow its easy removal so that blades may be taken off with a minimal amount of time and tools used therefore.

  • Patent number: 3960273
Abstract: A display device for articles such as audio cassettes and cartridges, the device having at least one vertically disposed wing-like member in the form of a frame with an opening through which the articles can be inserted into or removed from the frame, the frame being pivotally mounted about a first axis on an arm which itself is pivotable about a further axis parllel to the first axis, the first axis being an axis of a vertical pin on the arm, the further axis being an axis of a rod to which the arm is fixed, means being provided for locking the frame in relation to the arm so that the opening remains in the proximity of a blocking means said opening despite joints pivoting movement of the frame and the arm about the further axis, the frame being movable about the first axis so as to remove the opening from the proximity of the blocking means, only after release of the said locking means enables movement of the frame relative to the arm.
