Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media are provided for providing a token such as a financial services card, that is issued by a physical token issuance authority, the token having customized machine readable data stored thereon and the system adapted for use by a kiosk operator. An exemplary system may include a kiosk, a secure networking connection and a backend platform, the kiosk for provisioning and/or customizing the token in unsecured and/or low security locations.

Abstract: A sealed solenoid, magnetically operated electric power switch is suitable for use as capacitor, line and load switch operating at transmission and distribution voltages that includes no dynamically moving seals through the sealed container housing the contactor portion of the switch. The sealed solenoid switch includes a magnetically operated drive system with an actuator that magnetically couples across the container wall to avoid the use of a moving or sliding seal as part of the drive system. The sealed solenoid switch may also include a ballast resistor and resistor contact located inside the sealed container to avoid another seal as part of the ballast system. A magnetic latch holds the switch in a closed position, and a spring holds the switch in the closed position, to avoid the need for an energizing current to maintain the switch in either position.

The apparatus advances the probe tip toward a sample until a droplet of reagent touches the sample and is pulled off from the probe tip. A sensor detects that the droplet has been pulled off from the probe tip and halts the advance of the probe tip before the probe tip touches the sample. Such apparatus may be used to automatically dispense small volumes of reagent onto fragile samples.

Abstract: A process for distilling paraffinic hydrocarbons comprises feeding a Fischer-Tropsh derived paraffinic hydrocarbon feedstock comprising heavy paraffinic hydrocarbons and, optionally, light and/or medium paraffinic hydrocarbons, into a distillation column. The distillation column is operated to produce usable waqx products. An overhead stream, a bottom stream, and at least one side stream, are withdrawn from the distillation column. All the wax products obtained are usable wax products.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for advancing and extracting a component from a tube or channel of a magazine by the employment of a vacuum to a port that engages an open proximal end of the tube or channel of the magazine where the vacuum is sufficient to advance and hold the component as the head is moved away from the proximal end in a direction parallel to the long axis of the tube or channel of the magazine.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for flipping or rotating a component 180 degrees. The apparatus includes a rotatable plate having a component opening where the component may pass through and a top and a bottom shutter where when the plate is rotated in a first direction, the top shutter closes and the bottom shutter opens and when the plate is rotated in a second, opposite direction, the bottom shutter closes and the top shutter opens. The top shutter and the bottom shutter may be coupled to a proximal and distal cam following bearing where the proximal and distal cam following bearings are located within a proximal and distal cam slot of a cam barrel.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a fastener for securely joining two or more abutting flat panels together along their edges without the necessity of piercing any of the panels or disassembling the connection assembly. The fastener comprises first and second directionally oriented compressible parts of resilient material which are pressed against opposing sides of the panels and means for applying a mechanical force to produce said pressing action causing a partial shape change of the opposing frustoconical compressible parts. The force applying means comprises an elongated threaded member and a body portion extending through an aperture in each compressible part with a wing nut mounted on the extending ends thereof to anchor the parts together.

Abstract: A golf club is disclosed including an impact block located in the head of the club. The impact block includes means for adjusting the weight and balance of the club. The impact block has a plurality of openings. Rod shaped weights are slideably inserted in said openings.

Abstract: A golf club having an impact block disclosed in the bottom portion of the club head. The impact block has a plurality of openings therein for slidably receiving weights therein. A removable cap provides access to the weights. The impact block could be made integral with the sole plate.
