    Abstract: The invention relates to a device, a method and a corresponding computer program product for transmitting data to a carrier. The device (1) comprises a control system (2), a holding surface (3) which is used to hold the carrier (4) and a transmission head (5) for transmitting data from a data memory (6) to said carrier (4). The holding surface (3) is arranged in such a way that it can be rotated about an x-axis (8) by means of a first drive device (7) and the transmission head (5) is arranged in such a way that it can be moved along a y-axis (10) by means of a second drive device (9). Both the holding surface and the transmission surface are controlled by the control system (2) in a coordinated manner.
