Abstract: A method for inferring a relationship between a first user and an area is disclosed, where the user is associated with one or more user devices. The method comprises retrieving event records having user device information corresponding to the user devices, and inferring, based on the event records, a relationship between the user and the area. A method for determining the presence of users at a location of a plurality of locations organised in a hierarchical structure is also disclosed. The method comprises receiving an indication of a location selected from the hierarchical structure, determining nodes associated with the selected location, retrieving event records from each node, and determining, based on the retrieved records, a number of users located at the selected location.

Abstract: Method and system for testing base station location information comprising identifying a second base station neighbouring a first base station. Obtaining information describing the locations of the first base station and the second base station. Determining if the location of the first base station and the location of the second base station are further apart than a predetermined threshold, wherein if the location of the first base station and the location of the second base station are further apart than a predetermined threshold then indicating a first error.

Abstract: A method for detecting internal larval infestation in granular material comprising the steps of: creating an image of grain kernels in the near Infra-Red region; applying a mask to the image to exclude interference on the outer reaches of the kernel; forming a model kernel by applying a medium filter and slightly enlarging the resulting approximate model; comparing the masked image with a model kernel to obtain a difference image; and applying a threshold to difference image to determine larval infestation.
