Publication number: 20150047716Abstract: A pipeline vent valve is disclosed having a housing that includes an upper portion defining an outlet and a lower end defining an inlet. A body disposed in the housing is movable between a first position and a second position. In the second position, the body affects the close of the outlet and the outlet is offset from a longitudinal axis of the body. A valve assembly is supported by an upper end of the housing and is movable between a closed position where the valve assembly is disposed in sealing engagement with the outlet and an open position where the valve assembly is out of sealing engagement with the outlet. The valve assembly is responsive to a level of fluid in the housing and includes an arm that is pivotally secured adjacent the outlet for movement in only one plane relative to the outlet.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2013Publication date: February 19, 2015Applicant: P.I.H.A. Pty LtdInventors: Jeffrey Muir, Aaron John Roy Goodwin

Patent number: 4023532Abstract: A face fly device comprises a container having a compartment area provided therein for receiving an insecticide mixed with oil or diesel fuel. A pair of flaps are provided on the upper end of the container which are riveted to the lobe of an animal's ear. A flexible wick extends downwardly from the container and is positioned adjacent the animal's face. The wick includes a knot which is positioned within the container so that the insecticide will flow through the wick from the interior of the container to the exterior of the container. The knot restricts the flow so as to prevent the insecticide from being depleted quickly.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1976Date of Patent: May 17, 1977Inventor: Roy Goodwin

Patent number: 3935839Abstract: A face fly device comprising a flexible bag-like container having a compartment area provided therein for receiving an insecticide mixed with oil or diesel fuel. A pair of flaps are provided on the upper end of the container which are riveted to the upper lobe of the animal's ear. A flexible wick extends downwardly from the container and is positioned adjacent the animal's face. The insecticide runs down the wick and prevents face flies from bothering the animal. The container and the upper portion of the wick are encapsulated with a liquid impervious material to prevent the insecticide from objectionably flowing or oozing therefrom. The insecticide is inserted into the container means with a conventional syringe or the like.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1974Date of Patent: February 3, 1976Inventor: Roy Goodwin
