  • Publication number: 20130145249
Abstract: The electronic device (12) comprises means for injecting into a document an annotation application (22) to extend the document. The annotation application (22) is suitable to be executed according to an extended document only in the context of execution of a document return management module (60) of a navigation application (56) on the source data and treated data of the document return management module (60) and by using the same functions as the document return management module (60) and that the document treated by the navigation application (56) comprises graphic elements, the annotation application (22) being suitable for anchoring an annotation (78) to a point of a graphic element of the document independently of the coordinates of the graphic element in the document.

  • Publication number: 20050187756
Abstract: A method, device, chip, computer program, and system that handle presentation language messages including dividing the message into simple and complex sections. The system includes a terminal and a base station. As such, presentation language messages can be viewed by simple presentation devices while allowing the simple presentation devices to forward the presentation language message without losing complex sections that may be viewable to more complex devices to which the message is forwarded from the simple presentation device.

  • Publication number: 20020103832
Abstract: Sending complex graphics to personal communication devices conventionally occupies valuable transmission time since the entire page description has to be sent whenever a display page has to be described or updated. This invention teaches storing those graphics in the memory of the device. A much shorter code, identifying database locations, can be sent as the data defining a page to be displayed and the relevant display page constructed, when selected by a user for display, by calling up the graphical elements from those locations in the memory. By embedding references to already stored graphics in the data transmission, substantial flexibility and air time economy is achieved.
