    Abstract: A surveillance system. The system includes an electrical device and a housing for at least partially enclosing the electrical device, the housing being selectable between self-mounting and box-mounting. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the housing includes: (a) a mounting enclosure for mounting the electrical device; (b) at least one access port for providing access to the electrical device and; (c) a plenum adaptor for selectively self-mounting the surveillance system. Also, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, the surveillance system may include a protective cover attachable to the housing for protecting the electrical device.
