  • Publication number: 20110030963
Abstract: A system for distributing fluid to a plurality of wellbores drilled from a common pad includes at least two fluid conduits extending between the wellbores. The fluid conduits are configured to couple at one end to a fluid pump. At least one remotely operable valve is hydraulically connected to each fluid conduit proximate each wellbore. At least one flow line hydraulically connects each remotely operable valve to each wellbore such that fluid moved through the flow line enters the wellbore. A control unit is disposed proximate the pad and is configured to operate the remotely operable valves.

  • Patent number: 5005725
Abstract: A cover release mechanism to enable a cover to be released while being subjected to a high inwardly acting pressure differential. The mechanism comprises:a caliper mechanism having two or more claiper members mounted within the cover, at least one of which members has an associated sealing member; anda high energy release mechanism mounted within the cover so that it acts in association with the caliper mechanism.Under normal operating conditions, with the cover member secured into position, the or each of the sealing members engages in a detent, normally a throughbore, in the cover. In order to release the cover, the high energy release mechanism is activated causing at least one of the caliper members to move, and the associated sealing means to disengage from the respective detents.

  • Patent number: 4950460
Abstract: A gas generating device which comprises a container within which is sealed a gas generator in the form of a water-reactive substance and structure is provided to break the seal in situ and allow water to penetrate the container and react with the substance to produce the gas. The water-reactive substance may be in the form of pellets having the same or different reactivity with water arranged in the container so as to produce the gas at uniform or varying rates of production.
