  • Publication number: 20220322031
Abstract: Apparatuses, methods and storage media associated with proof of location are disclosed herewith. In embodiments, an apparatus may include communication circuitry configured to communicate with one or more external servers jointly hosting a distributed ledger of proximal device records, and posting circuitry configured to post records of sharing of a proximity record of the apparatus with one or more other apparatuses located proximally to the apparatus, and records of receipts of proximity records of the other proximally located apparatuses from the other proximally located apparatuses, into the distributed ledger. The proximity records posted into the distributed ledger may be used to prove the apparatus's location. Additionally, other embodiments, including a participating host server of a distributed ledger or a server of a product/service provider, are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10539932
Abstract: An edge device monitors a mechanical system for changes in vibration state. When an overall vibration state of the mechanical system deviates by at least a threshold from an expected vibration state, the edge device can send the data to a server for diagnostic processing. The edge device can thus monitor for a pre-failure condition that suggests an upcoming failure or a need for service. With selective sending of sensor data, the bandwidth and processing associated with diagnostics can be reserved for situations more likely indicative of a condition needing diagnosing, rather than performing constant diagnostic processing.

  • Publication number: 20170090866
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and/or methods may provide for cooperative assembly of a universal sensor with one or more other universal sensors into a general-purpose sensor cluster deployable in a dynamically configurable arrangement. The universal sensor may capture data corresponding to one or more characteristics in a deployment environment encountered by the universal sensor. The universal sensor may also provide the data corresponding to at least one of the characteristics in the deployment environment encountered by the universal sensor. A baseline detection pattern may be established for the general-purpose sensor cluster based on data provided by each universal sensor of the general-purpose sensor cluster. Also, a change may be detected in the baseline detection pattern to address an anomalous condition. A proxy may mediate pairing between two or more universal sensor and/or between a universal sensor and a repository.
