  • Patent number: 4737439
Abstract: A radiation-sensitive composition including silver halide grains capable of forming an internal latent image and a nucleating agent is useful as a coating on a support to form a photographic element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 1986
Date of Patent: April 12, 1988
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
Inventors: John P. Freeman, Roy L. Orvis, Richard L. Parton, Karl E. Wiegers
  • Patent number: 4004929
Abstract: Photographic elements containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer in which there is incorporated a cyan-color forming material which, upon reaction with oxidized color developer, forms a cyan dye having unwanted absorption in the green and blue regions of the visible spectrum can be color corrected to a surprising degree by the incorporation into said element of a colored coupler compound having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.2 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently selected and are alkyl groups containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms, B is hydrogen or CooR.sup.6 wherein R.sup.6 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and A is a sulfonated naphthylazo group selected from those having the structure: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.5 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, M is photographically inactive, M is a monovalent cation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 21, 1975
Date of Patent: January 25, 1977
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
    Inventor: Roy L. Orvis
  • Patent number: 3998642
Abstract: Color photographic elements are disclosed having, incorporated therein, one or more novel phenolic materials which have the following structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a non-interfering alkyl, aryl, amino, substituted alkyl or substituted aryl ballasting group of the type which is useful in photographic incorporated cyan color-forming couplers, and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or a lower alkyl group.
    Type: Grant
