  • Patent number: 11543153
Abstract: A gas-fired water heater including a water tank, a combustion chamber, a burner assembly disposed within the combustion chamber, a gas valve for controllably supplying gas to the burner assembly, a temperature sensor coupled to the combustion chamber, wherein the temperature sensor generating a signal related to the temperature of the combustion chamber, and a controller having an electronic processor and memory. The controller is configured to receive the signal at a first predetermined time and at a second predetermined time, calculate a change in temperature based on the signal received at the first predetermined time and the signal received at the second predetermined time, compare the change in temperature to a rate of change threshold to produce a first comparison, and shut the gas valve in response to the change in temperature being less than the rate of change threshold.

  • Patent number: 7107237
Abstract: A catalog management system for executing a statement that accesses a catalog to manipulate referenced system or user-defined objects and related data. Initially, a statement for a transaction to operate on an object is received. A private copy of the structure of a catalog is created to record information about the object used by the transaction. Then, the private copy of the structure of the catalog is used for the during the transaction to access the object.

  • Patent number: 4553940
Abstract: Visible light curable dental restorations are provided having improved color stability. According to a preferred embodiment, visible light hardenable restorative materials are formulated from a major proportion of inorganic filler and a minor proportion of a resin component comprising a binder resin selected from the group of acrylated polyesters, acrylated polyesters reacted with an isocyanate, and hydroxyalkyl acrylic esters reacted with an isocyanate, polymerizable acrylic diluent monomer in an amount sufficient to control the viscosity of the resin component, and a photosensitizing system comprising of from about 0.05% to about 0.50% by weight of the restorative material of an alpha diketone together with an amine reducing agent. American Dental Association color stability standards are met by these compositions.

  • Patent number: 4514174
Abstract: Novel processes for the restoration of teeth particularly posterior teeth, wherein the use of a matrix band is required, are provided employing one component, packable, actinic light curable, resin-based restorative compositions. Such methods are now capable, for the time, of employing resin-based restoratives in the posterior restoration of teeth wherein the packability of the restorative composition enable the deformation of a matrix to allow substantial restoration of the original conformation of the tooth. Packable one component actinic light curable resin-based restorative compositions are provided.
