  • Patent number: 7817634
Abstract: Remote direct memory access over a network uses a constrained usage model. In one embodiment, a method of accessing memory on a network comprises a first node of the network generating a remote direct memory access request to remotely access application-level memory on a second node of the network. The first node sends the request in a packet over the network to the second node, the sending being performed in accordance with a constrained usage model. In a further embodiment, constrained usage model comprises sending the packet in an Ethernet protocol packet over an Ethernet network, the Ethernet protocol packet having a OSI layer two header, but not a layer three header.

  • Publication number: 20080193374
Abstract: The present invention relates to cytotoxic agents comprising liposomes wherein the liposomes enclose a solution comprising at least one alpha emitting radionuclide and at least one other therapeutic agent, particularly a chemotherapeutic. The invention also provides methods for the formation of such cytotoxic agents, methods of therapy, especially cancer therapy employing the agents and methods for their use in the manufacture of medicaments.

  • Patent number: 7335154
Abstract: The invention provides a method of radiation treatment of a human or non-human mammalian subject which comprises administering to said subject a therapeutically, prophylactically or pain-palliating amount of a bone targeting complex of an alpha-particle emitting thorium or actinium radionuclide, e.g. for the treatment of calcified tumors, bone tumors, bones, bone surfaces and soft tissues.

  • Publication number: 20060228297
Abstract: The invention provides a method for the treatment of soft tissue disease in a mammalian subject (preferably a human or canine subject), said method comprising administering to said subject a therapeutically effective quantity of a soft tissue targeting complex of thorium-227 and a complexing agent, wherein said quantity is such that an acceptably non-myelotoxic quantity of radium-223 is generated in vivo by nuclear decay of the administered thorium-227.

  • Patent number: 6447289
Abstract: A support stand for supporting an elongated rotary drum for rotation about a longitudinally extending drum axis includes a lower portion extending upwardly from a base to a tilted top extending in a plane of tilt; a correspondingly tilted upper portion mounted atop the lower portion, and a carrying roller rotatably mounted on the upper portion for rotation about a roller axis while a riding ring extending coaxially around the drum bears against and rides in rolling contact on the roller. The upper portion is rotatably positionable relative to the lower portion about a skew axis perpendicularly intersecting the plane of tilt at a fixed point. The skew axis substantially radially intersect the drum axis. As well, the skew axis substantially radially intersects the roller axis. A mechanism for adjusting the amount of skew and an indicator for displaying the amount of skew are also disclosed.
