  • Patent number: 11373157
Abstract: Smart table devices determine aspects associated with individual and items at a table. Sensors associated with a table are used to determine a location of each individual from a group of individuals at the table. The sensors also determine the location of a first item on the table. The first item is automatically associated with a first individual from the group of individuals based on proximity of the location of the first item on the table to the location of the first individual at the table. It is also determined using the sensors that the first individual has consumed at least a portion of the first item.

  • Publication number: 20220188094
Abstract: Systems and methods for centralized client application management are provided. In an example embodiment, a client state is received from a mobile device at a management device. The client state comprises information about a particular application. A first instruction for the mobile device is generated by one or more hardware processors. The first instruction comprises an instruction to the mobile device to prevent user interaction with a user interface of a particular application. The first instruction is communicated to the mobile device, and the mobile device performs the first instruction to prevent user interaction with the user interface of the particular application.

  • Patent number: 11301510
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a selection of an image in a user interface is received. Then information about the image is received. Then a look is identified for the image, wherein the look is a category for the image based at least in part on one or more visual attributes of the image as shown in the image The identified look is then compared with one or more item listings stored in a database to identify one or more matching item listings, the one or more matching item listings containing associated images that correspond to the look. Finally, the one or more matching item listings are displayed in the user interface.

  • Patent number: 11294659
Abstract: Systems and methods for centralized client application management are provided. In an example embodiment, device data is received from a user device. The user device is identified according to an identification rule. A client state is received from the user device. A match between the client state and a specified state is determined. Based on the client state matching the specified state, an instruction to be performed on the user device is generated. The instruction is caused to be performed on the user device. The instruction causes a change to the client state stored on the user device.

  • Patent number: 10096011
Abstract: There are provided systems and method for smart table devices and accessories for determining ordering aspects and bills. A smart table may include one or more modules, devices, and/or accessory devices that determine aspects of users and items associated with the smart table, such as movements of the users, quantities of items located on the table, or other aspects. The aspects may be communicated to a merchant device to determine information about the users and items, such as if the user requires attention or if a drink is empty. Based on the information, notifications may be generated, which may be communicated to a merchant or merchant employee to provide assistance or service to the table. The information may also be utilized to generate and update historical sales statistics for the merchant, such as commonly ordered items, time until receipt of service or food, and preferred payment methods.

  • Patent number: 10032159
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for delegating spending from a user device, such as a parent's smart telephone, to another device, such as a child's smart telephone. In this manner, the owner of the other device, e.g., the child, can be allowed to purchase products. Restrictions can be placed upon the spending ability of the other device. For example, in order for the spending to be done, the other device can be required to be within a certain distance of the user device. Thus, purchases by the owner of the other device, e.g., the child, can be supervised.

  • Patent number: 10013689
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus to scan visual codes are described. A first visual code of a plurality of visual codes to be scanned may be displayed on an electronic screen, the first visual code providing information related to a transaction facilitated by the point-of-sale terminal. An amplitude of a scan signal emitted by the point-of-sale terminal is measured and the amplitude of the scan signal and a threshold amplitude level are compared. Another of the plurality of visual codes is displayed on the electronic screen in response to the amplitude of the scan signal exceeding the threshold amplitude level.

  • Patent number: 9633549
Abstract: According to an embodiment, methods and systems can provide emergency auto-notification. Thus, in the event of an emergency, such as a predefined emergency, one or more people can be notified of a user's condition, needs, environment, and location, for example. The people to be notified can be predetermined, such as during a set up procedure. The people to be notified can be notified by text messaging, email, vice, voice mail, or any other method. The notification can be triggered by any desired criteria. For example, the notification can be triggered by the user's condition, location, or environment.

  • Patent number: 9626541
Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus to scan visual codes are described. An image of a first visual code marked on an item is captured and the image of the first visual code is displayed on an electronic screen of the apparatus for a point-of-sale terminal that is enabled to scan the image of the first visual code. A scan signal emitted by the point-of-sale terminal is detected, the scan signal indicating that the image of the first visual code was scanned. A second image of a second visual code is displayed on the electronic screen of the apparatus.
