  • Patent number: 4768688
Abstract: A suntan lotion bracelet formed from a tubular body configured in the shape of a ring. The interior of the tubular body forms a chamber for receiving a liquid suntan lotion or other liquids or lotions to be applied to the human body, particularly, lotions, the effectiveness of which is enhanced by maintaining a fairly constant dosage level through the day. The tubular body can have a variety of structures for filling the chamber with suntan lotion and for dispensing of the same. In certain embodiments of the suntan lotion bracelet, the tubular body has both of its opposite ends open and they respectively receive a female end cap and a male end cap that are detachably engaged to each other. The female cap has a nozzle portion having an orifice therein through which the chamber of the tubular body is filled with liquid suntan lotion and the same orifice acts as a dispensing orifice.

  • Patent number: 4382245
Abstract: A dish-shaped magnet in one form has an upper surface of a first polarity and a lower surface of a second polarity disposed in co-axial relationship to a second magnet having the opposite polar relationships. The magnetic fields in one form of the invention position the second magnet in spaced relation to the dish-shaped magnet. The apparatus has application as a novelty as well as for gyroscopic and other instrumentation apparatus wherein friction must be minimized. The upper magnet may be rotated either manually or by associated apparatus to provide gyroscopic stability.

  • Patent number: 4306772
Abstract: A negative photochromic material which is responsive to the ultraviolet portion of the daylight spectrum comprises part of the lens of a light fixture. The material which is of the normally dark type varies the translucence of the lens so that more lumens of light are transmitted through the lens under daylight lighting conditions than at night.

  • Patent number: 4268893
Abstract: A light assembly which includes a source of light and a reflector for directing the light in at least one direction. A fluid is directed about the light to disperse obscuring substances in the ambient surrounding the light. The fluid is directed through a conduit having a contour which minimizes turbulence.

  • Patent number: 4237872
Abstract: Portable apparatus is provided for use by a rescuer in administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a patient or for use as a training aid in the application of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. A light weight, inflatable, fluid-filled, foam or other resilient cushion has a pressure gauge attached thereto, and the cushion is placed on the patient's chest. Force is applied by the rescuer onto the cushion and the pressure gauge displays the force applied so as to enable the rescuer to observe and control the force being applied to the patient's chest. A timer may also be provided with the pressure gauge to enable the rescuer to properly time the application and release of force to the patient's chest.

  • Patent number: 4104671
Abstract: The developing solution is carried in a special print tray which holds the print paper on a first planar surface which is above the surface of the developing fluid when the cover is open. When the cover is closed a displacement member forces fluid over the print paper and against a planar transparent second surface which is parallel and spaced from the first surface.

  • Patent number: 4069913
Abstract: A package for a surgical or similar glove includes a resilient glove having a wrist portion and a hand portion. The wrist portion of the glove is releasably fastened around a glove ring member, with the hand portion of the glove extending from the ring member. An outer, imperforate, flexible member encloses the surgical glove. In a preferred form, the wrist portion of the glove extends through the ring member and is folded over and stretched around the ring member. The outer protective member also extends through the ring member and passes between the stretched wrist portion and the ring member. The outer protective member has a length such that downward movement of the hand after insertion into the glove will cause the glove to push against the bottom of the outer flexible member and thereby cause it to pull the stretched wrist portion of the glove off the ring member.

  • Patent number: 3954007
Abstract: An instrument for indicating wind chill temperature has a temperature responsive means producing an indication of temperature and a wind velocity responsive means. Means operatively couples the wind velocity responsive means and the temperature responsive means for altering the indication of temperature produced by the temperature responsive means in accordance with wind velocity. The invention may utilize, e.g., a thermistor, a liquid column thermometer, or a bimetallic element as the temperature responsive means. The indication of temperature may be modified to give the wind chill temperature by a piezoelectric element, a heat transfer surface receiving a predetermined quantity of heat, or a member applying wind force to modify force produced by the bimetallic element, respectively.
