  • Publication number: 20120252639
Abstract: The invention is directed to an apparatus for exercising a user's muscles that includes a frame. A platform is attached to the frame, which defines an area on which a user stands. A weight stack is attached to the frame. A lineal shaft is attached to the frame between the platform and the weight stack. A carriage runs on the lineal shaft and is attached to the weight stack by a cable. An extension arm is pivotally connected to the carriage. A handle is attached to the extension arm. The lineal shaft and platform allow the user to adjust the machine to their body by just standing in the position that fits their body. The lineal shaft, carriage, and pivotal connected extension arm provides a resistance curve that fits the user's strength curve.

  • Publication number: 20080179310
Abstract: The refractory material applied to an electric arc furnace runner is 85 to 95 wt. percent alumina, and 5 to 15 wt. percent aqueous sodium silicate. The heat from molten metal being processed is transmitted to the refractory material of the present invention by contact of the molten metal with the refractory material or by transmission of heat to the refractory material so as to sinter at least a portion of the refractory material and form a solid barrier to the flow of molten metal through the refractory. After the molten metal has been processed and no longer contacts the refractory material, the refractory material can have a portion which is free of water and remains in the form of a powder.

  • Patent number: 6993871
Abstract: The invention is a bracket for installing a gutter cover for ducting rainwater to a rainwater gutter, where the gutter cover prevents debris from entering the gutter. The bracket is roughly shaped like three extended fingers, where each finger is a strut. The struts converge at a junction. The various struts are a lifting strut that supports the leading hooked frontal edge of a gutter cover, a stabilizing strut that has a hooked end that interlocks with the hooked edge of a frontal rim of a gutter trough, and a bracing strut that is a leg stemming from the junction to a bottom portion of the gutter.

  • Patent number: 6732477
Abstract: The invention is a gutter cap for ducting rainwater to a rainwater gutter, while simultaneously deflecting debris. The invention is particularly suitable for retrofitting pre-existing aluminum gutters. The gutter cap can be installed with minimum tools and with no disruption to the existing gutter. The gutter cap is comprised of a sloped cover, which uses the attraction of water to bend water around a hooked edge as it drains across the sloped cover and ducts it into the trough. The cover, which forms a roof over the gutter's trough, is mounted with mounting blocks that snap on the cross-struts supporting the gutter, and these mounting blocks interlocks with the hooked edge of the cover. An opposing longitudinal edge on the cover is attached to the fascia board of the roof using a few screws or nails.

  • Patent number: 5960026
Abstract: Organic waste material is pneumatically transported within air and mixed rewith by swirling flow through an annular injector passage of varying radial width into a reaction flow passage of an eductor nozzle section receiving the output plume of a plasma torch for initiating therein thermal gasification of the waste mixture. The plasma torch plume projects from the eductor section into a diffuser section within which thermal gasification is continued before discharge of gasified waste.
