  • Patent number: 6959527
Abstract: A method of relative positioning between agricultural machines and crops on their planting rows having the steps which are performed in real time and during a harvest work and include determining a positioning of each tree top on a trees row, a machine rotor column position, and simultaneously a traveling speed of an agricultural machine, sending tree positioning and machine speed data to a data processor, processing the data and controlling servo mechanisms that actuate actuators which, in turn, place one rotor column with stripping rods in accordance with a determined tree top position and format.

  • Patent number: 6918239
Abstract: For relative positioning between an agricultural machine and crops on their planting rows a sensor is arranged forwardly of a sensor of a rotor of an agricultural machine and at a distance which is at least equal to or greater than a top radius of trees to be worked with the radius being measured in a planting row direction, the tree top by the sensor to determine a rearward point, a forward point, a center point and a farthest transverse point from the center point of a tree top, and the rotor is adjusted to define a trajectory of the rotor center with respect to the points, whereupon the steps are repeated for each of the trees in the planting row to be worked.

  • Patent number: 4341062
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a coffee harvester incorporating a mobile frame having extendable and rotatable wheel supporting hydraulic struts; opposed tined shaker with successive shaker arrays being mounted in an offset relation so that the tips trace a helix; fruit catching conveyor being propelled so that the conveying reach moves in the opposite direction but at the same speed as the harvester advances; inclining selected arrays of tines to enhance bean removal and a cleaning arrangement for removing twigs and leaves from the fruit.

  • Patent number: 4329836
Abstract: Disclosed is a tractor drawn device for harvesting fruits such as berries and coffee. A harvesting device is mounted on a frame structure supporting a vertically disposed tined shaker unit and a power pack, preferably a hydraulic pump driven by a diesel engine, that imparts rotation to unbalanced weights by a hydraulic motor. The towed frame mounting the shaker unit includes levelling devices for maintaining the central axis of the shaker unit substantially vertical.

  • Patent number: 4283906
Abstract: A harvesting machine for berries and fruits such as coffee beans and blackcurrants includes at least one tined shaker oscillating about a vertical or substantially vertical axis. The shaker is oscillated by out-of-balance weights and a shaft supporting the weights is not itself driven, the drive to the weights being effected through a sleeve surrounding the shaft and toothed belts.

  • Patent number: 4179873
Abstract: The invention relates to a harvester for harvesting soft fruit such as grapes, blackcurrants, raspberries etc. from standing bushes and comprises shaker devices mounted on a subframe of the harvester for pivoting between two positions in one of which the harvester can harvest fruit from mature bushes and in the other of which the harvester can harvest fruit from young bushes.

  • Patent number: 4176511
Abstract: The invention relates to an endless conveyor which has a plurality of individual conveying elements which are slidably movable to an extended position laterally of the conveying direction during a conveying run of the conveyor. When the conveyor is mounted on a harvester for harvesting the crop of a row of bushes, vines or canes, the individual elements in their extended position extend below crop dislodging means of the harvester and catch the crop and convey it to a collecting station and this avoids waste. In order to prevent the conveyor from fouling obstacles such as a plant or post during harvesting, there is a device for maintaining the linear speed of the conveyor zero relative to the ground.
