  • Patent number: 6901629
Abstract: A slide formed from an upwardly cupped plate made of an acetal copolymer matrix into which a lubricant is incorporated with slidability and load baring capability making it suitable for use in moving furniture or other heavy objects across a floor. A non-slip pad formed of a synthetic plastic material is seated in a recess formed in an upper face of the plate. The plate is shaped such that when it is partially inserted under a heavy object, a forward edge of a lower face of the plate rises above the floor such that the slide will pass over obstacles.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 2003
Date of Patent: June 7, 2005

  • Patent number: 5855360
Abstract: An electrical adapter fitting for use on modular furniture panels of a kind electricaly prewired with a raceway along a lower edge of the panel. The adapter being L-shaped in cross-section with upstanding fingers adapted to straddle an electrical raceway along a bottom side edge of the modular panel. The fingers adapted to support the panel by lateral side flanges flanking the raceway. A modular panel lifter for use with the electrical adapter fitting, or other adapters, having telescoping inner and outer sections and a jack screw for raising and lowering the outer section upon which the adapter may be mounted.

  • Patent number: 5802669
Abstract: A slide to be partially inserted under a floor contact portion of a heavy structure such that the structure can be easily slid a short distance. The slide is formed as a laminar assembly including a flat plate formed of an abrasion resistant lubric plastic material made of polyoxymethylene, homopolymer acetal, and a non-slip pad made of a synthetic plastic material. That portion of the plate not under the floor contact portion tends to bend upwardly so that the heavy structure slides easily over the floor while the pad keeps the heavy structure from sliding off the slide.

  • Patent number: 5469599
Abstract: A slide to be partially inserted under the floor contact portion of a heavy structure such that the structure can be easily slid a short distance. The slide is formed as a laminar assembly including a flat plate formed of an abrasion resistant lubric plastic material such as high molecular weight polyethylene and a non-slip pad formed of a natural or synthetic plastic material such as natural rubber. The rim of the slide not under the floor contact portion tends to bend upwardly so that the heavy structure slides easily over the floor while the pad keeps the heavy structure from sliding off the slide.

  • Patent number: 5459897
Abstract: A combination tool for lifting furniture and modular office panels with adjustable leveling glides mounted on a threaded shaft and for removing glued down carpet. The tool has an elongated handle and a blade pivoted about a fulcrum spaced rearwardly of the front end of the blade. The front end of the blade has a transverse cutting edge and a longitudinal slot opening from the transverse cutting edge for straddling the threaded shaft when the tool is used to lift the furniture and panels. The handle is attached to the blade at an obtuse angle and the blade pivots about a fulcrum spaced rearwardly of the front end of the blade such that the front end of the blade is elevated from about 1/2 to 2 inches above the floor at full pivot.
