  • Patent number: 12123059
Abstract: The present invention refers to an in vitro method for predicting cardiotoxicity risk in a cancer patient receiving, or susceptible to receive, anthracyclines chemotherapy based on the determination of the expression levels of a combination of 10 circulating miRNAs consisting of miRNA 16-5p, miRNA 22-3p, miRNA 30b-5p/30c-5p, miRNA 92b-3p, miRNA 148a-3p, miRNA-150-5p, miRNA-192-5p, miRNA 215-5p, miRNA 486-3p/486-5p and miRNA-4732-3p, in a biological sample isolated from the patient. The present invention also refers to said set of 10 circulating miRNAs for its use as biomarker of prediction of cardiotoxicity risk in cancer patients receiving, or susceptible to receive, anthracyclines chemotherapy. Finally, a method for the prevention of cardiotoxicity, in patients receiving or susceptible to receive anthracyclines chemotherapy, that comprises modulating the expression levels of the set of said 10 circulating miRNAS is contemplated.

  • Publication number: 20030010232
Abstract: A combination used in an offset printer comprises a water pickup roller having an outside surface and mounted so that the roller is able to rotate within an offset printer frame adjacent to a water pan for pickup of water. A tape strip has plural holes spaced along the length of the strip. The strip may be coiled to form a roll of material that can be dispensed as needed. A portion of the roll is removed and adhesively attached to the roller's outer surface at positions on the roller where it is desired to limit the amount of water picked-up by the roller.

  • Patent number: 6439575
Abstract: A game apparatus and method of play by a pair of opponents, uses a game board on a level surface or field. A game board indicia resembles an American-Football field with two spaced apart and opposing end zone front lines. A triangularly shaped and flatly formed game piece provides numerical values to its three corners. The game piece is suitable for sliding on the game board, and is thrust back and forth on the board by the contestants or opponents, with game piece generally in contact with the game board, until the game piece is positioned on one of the end zone front lines. Values or scores are assigned to the opponents corresponding to how the game piece is situated on the end zone front lines. Additional points may be acquired through aerial thrusts of the game piece through an upright goal situated at or in the end zones of the game board.
