  • Patent number: 6276524
Abstract: A case for storing a disc-shaped magnetic recording carrier having upper and lower faces, an outer edge, and an inner edge defining a central circular opening. The case includes a floor positioned within a frame. A plurality of spaced-apart segments are connected to the floor to form a cylindrical rim and cooperate with one another to engage the outer edge of the magnetic recording carrier. A first cylindrical raised seat is positioned in a central location on the floor and is adapted for receiving the recording carrier thereon. A second cylindrical raised seat is positioned in a central location on the first cylindrical raised seat. The second cylindrical raised seat includes a button positioned above the horizontal plane and on an upper face of the second cylindrical raised seat. The button includes polygonal sidewalls having upper and lower edges, and a face having an outer edge connected to the upper edge.

  • Patent number: 6206186
Abstract: The invention relates to a box-shaped case (1) comprising a push-button (4) elastic part (2) with elastically deformable lateral branches (5) arranged in one of its covers (1b) whereby the top end thereof (5a) consists of a peripheral protuberance (5b) enabling a disc (3) to fit into the case by means of a central opening (3a). The lower part of lateral branches (5) is jointed to small flanges (6) which are inclined upwards and which converge towards the centre. Said flanges (6) form an angle in relation to the wall (7) of the cover of the case. The cover (1b) also has protuberances that are shaped like circular segments. The outer side or peripheral side of the disc rests against said segments at a given vertical height (11), whereby the disc is subjected to a slight amount of bending stress in a radial direction when it is fited into its housing.

  • Patent number: 6170656
Abstract: The invention relates to a case having a bottom wall (1) with a cylindrical protuberance (2) on the upper face (2a) of which is formed a button (3) with holding teeth (5) for nesting and releasing a DVD type disc through its central orifice. Flexible side branches (4) are provided between said button (3) and the upper surface (2a). According to the invention, each flexible branch has a first portion (4a) at right angle and second portion (4b) which extends slightly inclined and forming an angle (B) with said upper surface (2a) which does not exceed 30°; the first portion (4a) has U-shaped notch (4c) at the vicinity of the button (3).
