Abstract: Flexible resistance articles, systems, kits, and methods of assembly and use. A flexible resistance article is configured to flexibly and resistively accommodate and secure a portion of a resistance band therein for use during resistance exercises, such as strength training and physical therapy. The article includes a middle panel flexibly attached to a first flap and a second flap which are securable by a fastener in a closed configuration to hold the resistance band therein. The fastener may be detached to transition the article from the closed configuration to an open configuration to remove the article from the resistance band. The article protects the user from an uncomfortable or irritable contact with the resistance band and provides a grip resistance to the user when the user grips the article and may be used to increase grasp strength of the user.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to strengthen the hand grip of an individual. The apparatus includes a manipulable arcuate object shaped and dimensioned to be manually grasped. The manipulable arcuate object includes a rigid hard core and a strap configured to be attached to a desired fixed object. The strap is inset in the manipulable arcuate object to facilitate a user's securely holding the object.

Abstract: A method to exercise the muscles acting on the thoracolumbar fascia of an individual utilizes a manually held apparatus which is manipulated to roll a ball in the apparatus to change continuously the balance of the apparatus to destabilize muscles in the body of an individual utilizing the apparatus.

Abstract: An alert device is provided that includes a light producing surface, The alert device has a stored configuration in which the light producing surface is compacted and the visible area of the light producing surface is decreased. The alert device also has a deployed configuration in which the visible area of the light producing surface is increased. A microprocessor is used to control light producing elements on the light producing surface to produce desired symbols.
