Abstract: A safety inspection system includes a remote control unit having a user interface that is operated by a user to communicate commands to a main unit. The main unit is coupled to a power source, a source of pressurized air, and a trailer, such as a trailer of a tractor-trailer, to enable the user to verify the operation of a variety of lighting elements, which may include clearance and running lights, hazard lights, backup lights, turn signal indicators, and brake lights, and to further verify the operation of an air brake system of the trailer.
