Abstract: A connecting element (3) for adjusting the height of a vehicle seat (1) includes an angular element (3.1) with a first leg (3.1.1) having a seat part side receiving opening (3.1.5) and an opposite rail side end receiving opening (3.1.4), and a second leg (3.1.2) angled relative to the first leg (3.1.1) and a tooth element (3.2). The seat part receiving opening (3.1.5) is situated in a connection area of the first leg (3.1.1) and of the second leg (3.1.2). The tooth element (3.2) has a first section (3.2.1) configured as a circular arc with toothing (V2) that is connected at an end side to the second leg (3.1.2) and a second section (3.2.2) that is angled from the first section (3.2.1) in the direction of the receiving opening (3.1.5) on the side of the seat part and is connected to the first leg (3.1.1) at the end side.

The clamping element has a toothing in which is engaged by a mating toothing situated on a toothed element, the force of the spring acts on the toothed element and acts indirectly on the clamping element via the toothing and mating toothing.

Abstract: A recliner mechanism system of locking and adjusting tilt of a vehicle seat includes a fitting having a fastening opening and configured to be provided at a side of the vehicle seat. The system also includes an insert part occupying the fastening opening and configured to receive a transmission rod. An inner periphery of the insert part has a profiled contour for receiving the transmission rod in a form-fitting manner.

Abstract: A process for the continuous preparation of hydrocarbon oils from coal by cracking hydrogenation under pressure in two stages. In the first stage (carried out in the bottom phase) milled coal, together with finely divided catalysts, is pasted with an oil mixture, and the slurry is hydrogenated by heating to 380.degree.-440.degree. C. under a hydrogen pressure of from 200 to 700 bar. The gaseous and liquid reaction products are separated from the solid products and subjected to a further hydrogenation (this time in the gas phase), using a fixed hydrogenation catalyst. The heat of the hydrogenated product is indirectly and separately transferred to the coal/oil mixture and the hydrogen by heat exchange in not less than three stages.

Abstract: A multi-stage reactor for hydrogenating coal slurry in a pressure vessel for pressures of up to 700 bar, preferably of up to 350 bar, with inlets for gas and coal slurry through the reactor bottom, an outlet for sludge, gases and vapors in the reactor top, and dividing trays in the pressure vessel, by means of which trays the individual reaction stages are separated from one another, wherein each dividing tray has a progressively reducing cross-section, with passage orifices, over its entire lower face, so as to prevent coal slurry caking onto the tray in the direction of flow of the reactants (gas and coal slurry).

Abstract: A device for folding a strip of material, comprises, a support with a substantially U-shape guide having divergent first and second guide legs mounted on said support and having a widened entrance end for the insertion of a strip of material and a narrow discharge end for the discharge of the material. The guide is of a tapered, funnel-shape form, tapering inwardly from the entrance end to the discharge end and it is arranged alongside of a substantially U-shape folding element which is engageable therewith. The folding element is pivotally mounted on the support adjacent the guide and it includes a central folding web portion engageable into the guide between the guide legs and a leg portion joined to each side of the central web portion adapted to engage over the guide legs to fold the material thereover. The device is usable in association with a sewing machine in which, after the material is folded, it is engaged with a garment and sewn along the edge thereof.
