Patent number: 11891032Abstract: To check the functionality/leak-tightness of a brake-by-wire brake system, a motor-operated brake pressure transducer is actuated. In this case, a pressure medium would flow out into a reservoir via a master brake cylinder. A diagnostic valve is therefore provided between the master brake cylinder and the reservoir, which diagnostic valve is composed of a check valve and a restrictor connected in parallel with respect to the check valve. The outflow of pressure medium is limited by the restrictor. Because the gradient of the pressure dissipation can be calculated, a measured pressure build-up can be compared with that which is to be expected, and a determination of functionality/leak-tightness can be derived from the comparison.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2019Date of Patent: February 6, 2024Inventors: Rüdiger Briesewitz, Joseph Dolmaya

Patent number: 9205820Abstract: A pulsation damping capsule for connection to the pressure side of a piston pump having a metal membrane housing that is assembled from two membrane shells joined together in a hermetically sealed manner. The metal membrane housing separates an internal space from a surrounding pressure medium. The membrane shells are connected along a circumferential seam such that the pulsation damping capsule can compress and expand in a resilient-elastic manner as an energy convertor when subjected to external pressure as a result of pressure medium pulses. A reshapeable mass is arranged in the internal space and when the membrane shells are in the resilient-elastically compressed state, the mass completely fills an intermediate space that remains between the two membrane shells, so that the mass is precisely matched to the internal contour of the reshaped membrane shells while avoiding the formation of hollow spaces.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2011Date of Patent: December 8, 2015Assignee: CONTINENTAL TEVES AG & CO. OHGInventors: Rudiger Briesewitz, Dieter Dinkel, Christoph Wagner, Hans-Jorg Feigel
