  • Patent number: 5464297
Abstract: A fitting, particularly a fitting for connecting plates, includes a connecting member insertable into a cup-shaped recess. A tightening screw is rotatably mounted in the cup-shaped insert and extends obliquely relative to the direction of insertion of the connecting member into the cup-shaped insert. The tightening screw has a front end which acts on a front inner edge of a recess provided in the connecting member. The tightening screw is mounted with a slight play in the cup-shaped insert. The front edge of the connecting member has an inclined abutting surface for the tightening screw.

  • Patent number: 5323569
Abstract: An item of furniture is described wherein, in order to economize on space, rotating and/or sliding doors are used for closing items of furniture, particularly cabinets. The cabinets comprise a shaft opposite the opening side of the body, which shaft is supported vertically relative to the sliding direction and is provided with at least two toothed pinions which are arranged at a distance from one another and engage in corresponding toothed racks which are securely connected with the door. These toothed racks are supported at the shaft so as to be displaceable transversely relative to its longitudinal axis. To obtain an especially advantageous guidance for the door, the rails, provided with the rows of teeth, are constructed, at least at their opposite longitudinal edges, as guide rails for rollers of running carriages which are fixedly connected with the shaft.

  • Patent number: 5241766
Abstract: A built-in, pull-out ironing board includes a rear part and a front part which is foldable onto the rear part. The rear part is connected to a pull-out system which is slidably mounted in a guide. The connection of the rear part with the pull-out system is effected through at least one pair of parallelogram-type levers, so that the rear part can be pivoted from a lower position of rest to an upper position of operation. A support member for the front part is longitudinally slidably mounted on the rear part. The pull-out system is connection in an articulated manner through a push arm to the support member. The hinge connection of the push arm to the support member is located in pull-out direction behind the hinge connection of the push arm to the pull-out system.

  • Patent number: 5004200
Abstract: A fitting for boards, particularly for shelf boards. The fitting includes a support member arranged in the board and a fastening member which engages a groove of the support member and is adapted to be mounted on the wall component. The fastening member has a groove-like recess which extends transversely of the direction of insertion of the fastening member. A locking disk is rotatably mounted in the support member for engaging the recess of the fastening member. The locking disk releases the fastening member when the locking disk is in the unlocked position. In the locked position, the fitting cannot be disengaged when an impact occurs from below.

  • Patent number: 4756637
Abstract: A fitting for connecting two structural components. The fitting includes a locking device mounted on the first structural component and a support device mounted on the second structural component. A rotary member in the support device defines circumferentially extending conical surface against which the front end of the locking device is pressed when the two fitting devices are connected. The force exerted by the front end of the locking device causes the rotary member to be turned. The rotary member has a helical end face which is initially outside of the range of travel of the locking device. Upon turning of the rotary member, the helical end face comes into engagement with a countersurface of the locking device. The resulting connection can only be released by means of a tool. The structural components are pressed tightly together by a further turning of the rotary member.

  • Patent number: 4637321
Abstract: The known built-in ironing boards are disposed on a pull-out which is movably mounted in ways so it can be swung via parallelogram guide arm pairs from a lower position at rest into an upper working position. When ironing on such an ironing board, the pull-out must be pulled out first, whereupon the ironing board must be brought into the working position and locked therein. To facilitate handling, there is now provided a naturally flexible member in the form of a flexible connector such as a wire rope which is effective only when the pull-out is extended, in which position it connects the ways, or a part fixed thereto, to the ironing board. Shortly before the end of the pull-out motion of the pull-out, the ironing board is retained by the wire rope so that the parallelogram guide arm pair pivots upwardly, bringing the ironing board into its working position without requiring additional manipulations to accomplish this.
