  • Patent number: 6341412
Abstract: In electromagnetically operable valves which have been proposed, having a fuel inlet connecting piece which is surrounded by a magnet coil and is used as a core, at least a part of the valve is surrounded by a plastic sheath on which an electrical connecting plug is integrally formed. However, different valve extrusion coating tools are required depending on the embodiment of the electrical connecting plug. In the valve, the electrical connecting plug (21) is injection moulded at the same time as the extrusion coating of the magnet coil (4) and thus forms an independent plastic injection molding. Only one valve extrusion coating tool is now required for different embodiments of the electrical connecting plug, resulting in greater flexibility in the assembly line. The valve is used as an injection valve for fuel injection systems.

  • Patent number: 5178362
Abstract: In electromagnetically actuatable valves having a core, surrounded by a magnet coil, and an armature that acts upon a valve closing body by means of a connecting tube, the connection between the connecting tube and the hard valve closing body is embodied by first providing the metallically harder closing body with a first spot weld, and after that this first spot weld is welded to the metallically softer connecting tube by means of a second spot weld, until the at least partly encompassing weld seam is formed between the valve closing body and the connecting tube, the weld seam assuring a safe and reliable connection. This embodiment of the valve is particularly well suited for injection valves of fuel injection systems.

  • Patent number: 5143301
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuable valve having an axial fuel inflow, in which the opening path of the valve closing element is limited by a stop rod device which permits a controlled opening stroke of the valve closing element as a function of a position of the valve needle. The stop rod is arranged concentrically with respect to the valve longitudinal axis so that the stop rod touches the valve closing element in the opening position of the valve and thus limits its opening stroke. The stop rod is mounted in a flow bore of a core of the valve by means of a displacement sheath. The design of the stop device is particularly suitable for fuel injection valves.

  • Patent number: 5069834
Abstract: In known electromagnetically actuatable valves having a connection fitting acting as a core and on which a magnet coil is disposed, the magnet coil is surrounded by a solid valve housing of ferromagnetic metal. The manufacture of this valve housing is very labor-intensive and results in undesirably large external dimensions. The valve enables not only simple manufacture but also a reduction in the external dimensions of the valve. In the valve, a plastic sheath surrounding both the connection fitting and the magnet coil is provided, which at least in the region surrounding the magnet coil contains ferromagnetic fillers conducting magnetic field lines. The fillers surround the magnet coil in the circumferential direction. This embodiment of the valve is suitable for electromagneticallly actuatable systems of all kinds.

  • Patent number: 4967966
Abstract: An electromagnetically actuatable valve having a connection fitting serving as a core and on which a magnet coil is disposed, is produced with a non-bulky valve housing of ferromagnetic metal. This valve housing is simple to manufacture with a reduced external valve size. The valve is provided with a plastic sheathing that surrounds not only a connection fitting but also a magnet coil and at least in the region surrounding the magnet coil includes a ferromagnetic element that conducts magnetic field lines. These ferromagnetic elements are embodied by conducting elements and optionally by fillers having ferromagnetic properties, which at least partly surround the magnet coil in the circumferential direction. This embodiment of the valve is suitable for all types of electromagnetically actuatable components.

  • Patent number: 4915350
Abstract: In known electromagnetically actuatable valves, a connecting tube connected to the armature has a valve closing element secured to its other end. The connecting tube has fuel flowing through it, which can exit again in the vicinity of the valve closing element via radially extending openings. To make such tubes additional work steps are required. There is proposed a novel connecting tube intended to assure easy manufacture and simple assembly with minimum weight and maximum stability. The novel connecting tube is provided with a slit extending from one end to the other, which provides the connecting tube with resilient elasticity and provides a large-area hydraulic cross section. The manufacture of the connecting tube can be accomplished easily by rolling of a sheet-metal blank. The embodiment of the connecting tube is suitable for electromagnetically actuatable valves of all kinds.

  • Patent number: 4779596
Abstract: Device for injecting of fuel into internal combustion engines with an injection jet is provided with a stretched tension wire as a locking spring element for an outwardly opening valve locking member. The pretension of the tension wire is influenced by the current flow in an electrical current circuit which is fed to an electric resistor element being installed into the injection jet. The resistor element may be formed by the tension wire itself or by coil of an electromagnet, whose anchor is coupled with the tension wire. Thus, the opening pressure (P.sub.o) of the injection jet or the injection process can be controlled in a simple manner or may be formed accurately in accordance with a predetermined principle.

  • Patent number: 4660522
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines is proposed, which is realized as a radial piston pump. To supply eight-cylinder engines or multi-cylinder engines at high rpm or to realize a pre-injection with large angular intervals, a radial piston pump is proposed the pump pistons of which are firmly connected to the roller shoes driving the pump pistons, and the rollers carried by the roller shoes roll off simultaneously on a first cam track of a first, outer roller ring and on cam tracks of second, inner roller rings and are thereby compulsorily guided between the cam tracks of the two roller rings.
