    Abstract: In a method for optically sensing markings on objects at a plurality detecting stations (10), at which the objects are transported by means of a transport apparatus through the sensing area of an optical sensing apparatus (20), an object upon non-regular sensing is automatically returned and again transported through the sensing area of the optical sensing apparatus (20) and then after a predetermined number of unsuccessful sensing attempts is automatically represented on a viewing device (30) at a central station (12) for identification of the object and/or a picture of the non-sensed object is stored in a memory (50).
