Abstract: A comminuting machine for comminuting a product includes: a cutting device for comminuting the product, which device has at least two cutting units; a drive shaft for driving the cutting units; and a housing in which the cutting units are arranged one behind the other along the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft. The comminuting machine is designed to feed a fluid in the form of a liquid gas into at least one intermediate space which is formed in the housing between two cutting units that are adjacent to one another along the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft.

Abstract: A method for producing ice cream includes combining ingredients to form a premix; supplying a cryogenic medium to the premix; and cooling the premix to a temperature below 0° C. During the prefreezing, lump additives which have previously been cooled to a temperature of less than ?2° C. are added to the premix.

Abstract: A valve comprising a valve needle, a valve housing, and a valve face for introducing a medium into a container. When the valve is closed, the front face of the valve needle and the valve housing are substantially flush with an inner surface of the container. Low tolerance range fits can be provided between the container and the valve housing and/or between the valve housing and the valve needle.

Abstract: A device for refrigerating and/or freezing products in which the products are conveyed by a conveyor belt through a treatment zone equipped with refrigeration equipment. The conveyor belt passes over sliding rails which are mounted on a supporting frame. To prevent excessive sticking of products on the conveyor belt, the sliding rails are arranged with a convex and/or concave curvature in at least in some sections, so that the conveyor belt slides on predetermined curvatures. Shearing forces are therefore created at the contact faces of the conveyor belt and product, resulting in release of the product.

Abstract: An actuator is provided for a cryogenic valve having a pneumatic cylinder. For thermal uncoupling, the pneumatic cylinder is in an operative connection with a valve needle by way of a lever which is rotatably connected on one side with a linkage.
