  • Patent number: 6315314
Abstract: The frame structure has two adjacent bent pipes (1, 2) which extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are inclined towards each other. In the illustrated side view, only the bent pipe (1) on the left side of the vehicle can be seen. This bent pipe (1) has a shape similar to that of a bowsaw. The idea underlying the invention is that the weight of the vehicle occupants acts on the bent pipe structure and is deflected into forces which push the two ends (4; 6) of the pipe away from each other. These deflected forces are in turn absorbed by pipes (10, 11) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and which indirectly interconnect the ends of the bent pipes (1, 2) absorbing the traction forces therebetween. The two bent pipes (1, 2) are inclined towards each other and thus form a gable, seen in the longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6290752
Abstract: A filter device for adsorption of gaseous constituents from a gas flow includes a filter chamber with filters arranged therein, a clean-gas chamber connected to the first chamber in a fluid-conducting manner via the filters, and a collection chamber arranged beneath the filter chamber, is open toward the filter chamber and has an interior which narrows toward the bottom. An unfiltered-gas duct which leads from the outside, is arranged in the lower area of the collection chamber in such a manner that it can be adjusted in the direction toward the filters. A dust-discharge device, which leads toward the outside, is arranged in the lower area.

  • Patent number: 6117405
Abstract: A process is provided for removing contaminants, such as nitrogen oxides, out of exhaust gases, such as gases emitted from an incineration plant. Ammonia or a reducing agent producing ammonia is added to the exhaust gases at a point where the exhaust gases are at a temperature ranging from 700 to 900.degree. C. so that ammonia reacts with and removes nitrogen oxides out of the gases; the gases are passed into a boiler where they are cooled to a temperature ranging from 200 to 350.degree. C. and additional ammonia or reducing agent is injected into the gases; the gases are removed from the boiler and alkaline sorbents, such as alkali metal compounds or alkaline earth metal compounds are injected into the gases, and the gases are passed through a catalyst/filter element coated with a catalytically active oxide or salt of vanadium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, tungsten and molybdenum for catalyzing the reduction of residual nitrogen oxides in the flue gases.

  • Patent number: 5512257
Abstract: Fly ash from incineration plants is treated with an acidic aqueous solution for the purpose of removing heavy metals. The residual solid matter is filtered. The filtration residue is treated with a precipitating agent for heavy metals. The thereby obtained inert residue can be directly dumped.

  • Patent number: 5367116
Abstract: Solid residues obtained in flue gas purification, in particular flue dusts, are disposed in an environmentally compatible and economical manner by acid extracting heavy metals from the residues, precipitating the heavy metals from the extract, separating the precipitate from the mother liquor, subjecting the precipitate containing heavy metals to mechanical stress during which procedure the water contained in the precipitate is released and the precipitate itself is resuspended, and then adding a hydraulic binder to the resuspended precipitate containing heavy metals and/or to the extracted residues separately from one another. The binder-containing mixture can be used to form moldings which, after hardening, are employed for the erection of boundary walls in a landfill, Additionally or alternatively, the plastic binder-containing mixture can be introduced in the form of layers into preformed landfill spaces, where it then hardens.

  • Patent number: 4432666
Abstract: A process for forming a compact, water-repellant, non-polluting mass of waste material which includes adding to the waste material a binder and forming a flowable, water-repellant mixture which is placed within a preselected site and hardened in place. A hardening agent can include waste, or polluted, water.

  • Patent number: 4093203
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a device for slowing down a fed printing specimen as it is fed to the paddle wheel, and includes a pair of rollers, one of which is adjustable relative to the other to provide for an adjustable wedge portion therebetween which includes means to slow the speed of the fed printing specimen down as it is fed to the paddle wheel.

  • Patent number: 4068586
Abstract: A cylinder for clamping printing plates for photogravure printing wherein the cylinder has a longitudinal bore comprising at least one clamping spindle with a surface for receiving the printing plate ends said at least the clamping spindle runs on the radius of the surface of the cylinder, wherein in the clamping and closing position, the cylinder bore is closed. The clamping spindle is flattened on the inside and loosely supports a continuous cylindrical cup which is positioned in the axis radial in the clamped and locked position of the clamping spindle. There is a tension spring and ball disposed in a lateral bore of the clamping spindle for supporting the spindle with respect to the cylinder bore wall at the side which is opposite to the advancing side of the cylinder.
