  • Patent number: 7527162
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for closing an already filled hollow glass body (1) comprising an essentially cylindrical filling vent (2), the filling opening being closed by fusion once the hollow body has been filled. Before the hollow body is filled, said filling vent is connected to the neck but can be opened at a later point. The aim of the invention is to reduce the remaining air volume in one such hollow body as much as possible. To this end, a glass above the filling level of the hollow body. Said vent plug is then fused, on its circumference with the free end of the cylindrical filling vent.

  • Patent number: 4368508
Abstract: A light for a submersible pressure vessel is partially mounted within the interior of the pressure vessel and has a metallic element mounted in a wall of the vessel and extended outside the pressure vessel from this wall. The light further includes a container sealingly closed by the metallic element. The container is composed of two translucent bulbs spaced from one another to define a cavity filled with water. A light element such as a lamp is inserted into the inner bulb and extends outside the pressure vessel so that its electrical cable is positioned outside the vessel. A cooling member is connected to the metallic element to remove heat generated by the lamp and transmitted through water and the metallic element.

  • Patent number: 4346404
Abstract: A monitoring camera is installed in a wall of a submersible pressure vessel, such as a bathyscaphe. The camera includes a front portion having a front optic with a lens located at the interior of the vessel, and a rear portion. The lens sealingly covers the front portion and projects slightly into the interior of the vessel from its wall. A second lens spaced from the first lens is mounted in the front portion of the camera. These lenses are spaced from one another. A capillary channel is formed in the front portion, which channel extends from a space between the lenses toward outside the pressure vessel. The channel serves to permit helium eventually collected in said space to escape from the camera.
