  • Patent number: 8899836
Abstract: The invention relates to a side gusseted bag 1,21 made of flexible material, wherein two opposing main walls 2,23 are connected at adjacent long sides 5,6 by at least one (first) side gusseted wall 4,22 that can be folded between the main walls 2,23 and comprise an opening at the top side that can be connected to a resealable closure 7,24 made of at least a pair of opposing closure elements 8,26 mounted on one or the other of the main walls 2,23, wherein the closure elements 7,24 are not fixed to each other at the ends thereof above the side gusseted wall in the opened state of the closure element, and the side gusseted wall 4,22 can be unfolded outward at the top side, designed in the sense of a good storage and transport closure, simultaneously retaining the potential for simple and wide opening and sufficient closure, such that the side gusseted wall 4,22 is separably fixed in a folded position between the main walls 2,23 before it is first opened.

  • Publication number: 20140205216
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging container according to the preamble of claim 1. Packaging containers of this type are in widespread use in the form of side-gusset bags or folded-bottom bags and, in addition to involving low packaging outlay in terms of space, volume and cost, can also be effectively completed, filled and closed in highly developed machine runs. However, a cuboidal (filled-)pack shape, which is usually desired for storage, shipping and display purposes, can only roughly be created for conventional packs since this shape requires the pack to be filled completely, which is difficult to achieve, and, in the case of pourable pack contents, deformation occurs easily overall. If, then, in the customary manner, the packs are brought together at a (head) end to form a removal opening, in the case of which possibly also side gussets run together and possibly also a central bottom transverse seam forms the termination at the other end, incompletely filled packs tend to form variable shapes.

  • Publication number: 20100183249
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging container of multilayer plastic foil which can be sealed with at least one layer lying on the container inner side. The packaging container has two primary walls (2, 2a) lying opposite each other and placed opposite each other in a top sealing seam (14), and two side fold walls (3, 4) which are folded into the top sealing seam (14) as a double layer, flat between the primary walls (2, 2a) and toward the inside, with folded edges (7, 8) oriented against each other. The invention is improved in the sense of prespecified air-tightness and aroma-tightness, with minimal work and material requirements, in that a closure plug (16) made out of a hot melt mass is arranged inside the sealing seam (14) directly in front of each folded edge (7, 8).

  • Publication number: 20100183250
Abstract: The invention relates to a bag with lateral folds (1) with a weldable or sealable sheet lying upon at least one layer internal to the bag with two opposite main walls (2, 3) and two lateral fold walls (4, 5) lying therebetween, which join with extensions in a floor (9) and are connected there through at least one floor seam (10) in such a manner that the lateral fold walls (4, 5) are connected to each other on both sides of a fold corner (13, 14) flush with the adjacent main wall (2, 3) and such that, in addition, the main walls (2, 3) are connected to each other and are connected by a one-piece sheet running between main wall and floor designed for the improvement of the floor contour and the stability such that the floor (9) is delimited from each of the two main walls (2, 3) by a fold seam (11, 12).
