  • Patent number: 7818227
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for assigning, tracking and storing equivalent emission values associated with a transaction. When a transaction takes place the system identifies the purchaser, the vendor, and at least the cost of the transaction. The system contains a database comprising a pre-selected parameter related to an emission value. The system uses this parameter to calculate the emission value of the transaction. The emission value is stored in at least one data-file contained in the system.

  • Patent number: 5870400
Abstract: The methods and devices according to the invention supplement messages, which are to be exchanged between systems based on different protocol versions and which are provided with an information element of a second type, with an information element of a first type, and vice versa. As a result, greater design freedom in the development of subsequent compatible protocol versions, as well as subsequent non-compatible protocol versions, is obtained. Further, systems based on non-compatible protocol versions can even communicate directly with any type of receiving system. Furthermore, in this arrangement the drawback of needing to know, in advance, the protocol version on which the receiving system is based, does not apply.

  • Patent number: 5669216
Abstract: A process for the continuous conversion of energy chemically bound in a starting fuel based on C-H compounds into usable mechanical energy. For this purpose, a gas turbine is used and in order to obtain high mechanical efficiency the combustion is effected at least partially with a fuel obtained from the starting fuel by endothermic reaction, the heating of the reaction space for the endothermic reaction being effected either by compressed combustion air, which has been heated by the exhaust gases, or by the hot exhaust gas itself.

  • Patent number: 5417051
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the combined generation of electrical and mechanical energy from the oxidation of fuel. In particular a hydrogen-containing gas is generated by endothermic reaction of hydrocarbon compounds, in which a portion of the hydrogen-containing gas is burned for generating a combustion gas. An oxygen-containing gas is then compressed and introduced into the combustion stage, and the energy is generated by expanding the hot combustion gas in at least one gas turbine. Further, the expanded combustion gas is used for indirect heating of the endothermic reaction. According to the present invention, at least a part of the generated hydrogen-containing gas is to be guided as anode gas through a fuel cell system for generating electrical energy and the anode exhaust gas is used for generating the combustion gas.
