Abstract: Dyestuff intermediates of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, an alkyl radical of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a phenyl radical, R.sub.2 represents hydrogen or an acyl radical and Z represents hydrogen or a sulfo group, and the use thereof for the manufacture of azo dyes of the formula ##STR2## wherein D represents the radical of a coupling component, R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, an alkyl radical of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a phenyl radical, and R.sub.2 represents hydrogen or an acyl radical, or of azo dyes of the formula ##STR3## wherein K is the radical of a coupling component, Z represents hydrogen or the sulfo group, and R.sub.2 represents hydrogen or an acyl radical.

Abstract: Novel compounds which have the formula I ##STR1## in which D is the residue of a diazo component, K is the residue of a coupling component, A is an unsubstituted or substituted 1,3- or 1,4-phenylene radical or an unsubstituted or substituted 1,4-naphthylene radical, X is an oxygen atom or sulphur atom, R is a group conferring solubility in water and n and m are each the numbers 0 or 1, with the proviso that if A is a 1,3-phenylene radical the symbol X is bonded in the p-position relative to the amino group or azo grouping of the ring B.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 8 carbon atoms or the phenyl radical, R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, an acyl radical or a fibre-reactive radical, and D represents the radical of any diazo component, which dyes are useful for dyeing and printing a wide variety of natural and synthetic textile materials and leather; thus the acid dyes, which optionally contain fiber-reactive groups, are used for dyeing and printing materials such as cellulose and natural or synthetic polyamide. The cationic dyes are especially used in dyeing and printing polyacrylonitrile, and the disperse dyes are especially used in dyeing and printing polyester materials.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel azo dyes of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R represents a water-solubilizing group, D represents the radical of a diazo component, and K represents the radical of a coupling component, to a process for their production and to a method of dyeing or printing natural or synthetic textile material and leather which comprises the use of the novel dyes.
