    Abstract: A method and apparatus for feeding printing plates to a tensioning device of a plate cylinder of a printing press includes subjecting a front region of a printing plate to flexion to orient a leading edge of the printing plate essentially parallel to tensioning surfaces of a leading-edge tensioner for insertion into the leading-edge tensioner, and inserting the printing plate into the leading-edge tensioner and attaching the printing plate at the plate cylinder.
