  • Patent number: 7479647
Abstract: An apparatus (4) for reading out X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor layer (2) includes a support (10) onto which a storage phosphor plate (1) is laid. The storage phosphor plate (1) comprises the storage phosphor layer (2) and a support layer (3) onto which the storage phosphor layer (2) is applied. Furthermore, a controller (12) is provided for processing X-ray information read out from the storage phosphor layer (2). According to the invention, a distance sensor (14, 15) serves to determine a distance of the distance sensor (14, 15) from the storage phosphor plate (1) lying on the support (10), and the controller (12) is designed such that it processes the X-ray information read out from the storage phosphor layer (2) dependently upon the distance determined by means of the distance sensor (14, 15). An unlevelness determined by means of the distance sensor (14, 15) is taken into account by the controller (12) when processing the X-ray information read out.

  • Patent number: 7432512
Abstract: A cassette (1) for a storage phosphor plate (2) comprises a cassette housing (4) with an opening (7) and a support (3) disposed movably within the cassette housing (4), wherein the storage phosphor plate (2) lies on the support (3). In order to simplify the structure of the cassette (1) and of the corresponding removal mechanism, provision is made such that the support (3) can be moved, together with the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on top of it, through the opening (7) of the cassette housing (4), at least partially from the inside of the cassette housing (4), and the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on the support (3) can be taken from the support (3) when the support (3) is located, with the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on top of it, at least partially outside of the cassette housing (4).

  • Patent number: 7399986
Abstract: An apparatus and a corresponding method for reading out a storage phosphor plate (2) with an insertion device for inserting a cassette (1) in which a movably disposed support (3) is located, on top of which the storage phosphor plate (2) lies, a read-out device (20) for reading out the storage phosphor plate (2) and a conveyance device (11, 12) which takes the storage phosphor plate (2) from the support (3) and conveys it in a first direction (R) to the read-out device (20). In order to achieve the most precise and reliable alignment possible of the storage phosphor plate (2) relative to the read-out device (20) in a simple way, a positioning device (13) is provided for shifting the support (3), on which the storage phosphor plate (2) lies, in a second direction (A) which is different from the first direction (R) so that the support (3) and the storage phosphor plate (2) are aligned relative to the read-out device (20).

  • Patent number: 5228210
Abstract: A method of drying a developed, wet sheet carrier, especially an X-ray film after passing through a development device includes passing the sheet carrier through a dryer which has several infrared radiators arranged along the path of the sheet carrier at its both sides and reflectors provided at the side away from the sheet carrier and deflecting the infrared radiator to the facing side of the sheet carrier. The method is performed so that a main stream is supplied at both sides of the sheet carrier at the rear side of the reflectors, a partial air stream is supplied between each infrared radiator and the sheet carrier, and then each partial air stream is united with the main air stream so that the temperature and the moisture of the main air stream increases in a flow direction.

  • Patent number: 4958666
Abstract: A storage canister for process liquid includes a receptacle having a top side formed with two apertures. The receptacle houses two leakage proof pouches of elastic material each having an opening closed by a control valve. An upper part of respective valve housing projects through the aperture and is secured thereto while the lower part of the valve housing within the corresponding pouch extends up to the bottom of the receptacle. The pouches are arranged one above the other between the top cover and the bottom of the receptacle and being extendable to such an extent that their combined volumes correspond approximately to the volume of the receptacle. Preferably, the receptacle has the form of a flat parallel epiped so that a plurality of equal storage canisters are inserted into a drawer of wet processing apparatus and the normally closed control valves are activated by suction or by over-pressure from suction or pressure devices in the processing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4577949
Abstract: A developing device for a photographic layer carrier, particularly a film, includes two rotary transport roller pairs transporting a film in a horizontal direction over a bath containing a processing liquid. Two liquid-admitting chambers are positioned opposite to each other in spaced relationship to form a processing space through which the film is transported. Each chamber is subdivided into two portions by a comb-like partition which loosens vortexes generated in one chamber portion upon pumping the liquid thereinto and ensures a uniform distribution of the liquid discharged into the processing space through a slot provided in the second chamber portion.

  • Patent number: 4574852
Abstract: In a feedpipe of a container for refilling a photographic developing tank with a developer radial discharge holes are provided in the region of a valve mounted at the lower end of the feedpipe extended outwardly of the container. The developer liquid is discharged into the valve and then into the tank through these radial holes. To prevent overflowing of the liquid through these holes meshed elements are inserted into the radial holes.
