  • Patent number: 4124776
Abstract: An information system has multiple access and decentralized exchange with a tree-type conductor network. The system comprises branches, branch points and stations, with each branch comprising two paths of mutually opposite transmission directions, all paths in the network having the same number of transmission channels. Each channel of a path is associated with a channel of the other path of the same branch, the two constituting a channel pair, and each channel pair of a branch is, oppositely, clearly associated with a channel pair of each adjacent branch in the network thus providing a channel-pair tree. Each station is connected to both paths of a branch and does not delete arriving signals, but reads such signals each station monitoring all channels upon both paths and a channel pair is considered to be busy when the occupation of at least one channel of the pair is detected. One channel pair tree is occupied for the transmission of signals between two stations.
