  • Patent number: 6874241
Abstract: Measuring means for determining measurement error factors of a measuring machine, which measures toothing tolerances of gearwheels by inserting two gauging balls in different tooth gaps of a gearwheel and then taking measurements from the positions of the inserted balls, comprises a reference master having two first helically extending grooves disposed on an external or internal circumference of the master and representing tooth gaps receiving the two gauging balls to permit simulated measurements applicable to an externally or internally helically toothed gearwheel with an even number of teeth and two second helically extending grooves disposed on the same circumference as the first grooves and representing tooth gaps for respectively receiving the two balls to permit simulated measurements applicable to an externally or internally helically toothed gearwheel with an uneven number of teeth.

  • Patent number: 6338201
Abstract: An instrument for checking dimensional accuracy of a surface or a toothing of a workpiece comprises a measuring head with two diametrically opposite, radially movable checking elements which bear against a surface to be checked and the radial movements of which, caused by irregularities of the surface, are transmitted to a perpendicular drive needle. The movement of the drive needle is registered by a measurement sensor. The axial movement of the measuring head in the workpiece is registered by a travel sensor. The measurement sensor and travel sensor are electronic components, the measurement signals of which can be processed and displayed by electronic data-processing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5546666
Abstract: A toothing testing apparatus includes at least one pair of measuring disks or balls of a certain diameter which are introducible into respective substantially diametrically opposed tooth spaces of a testpiece, and measuring probes each including a base part and a measuring part elastically secured to the base part and rockable relative thereto, for measuring the distance between the measuring disks or balls of said at least one pair, the measuring part having one of the measuring disks or balls attached thereto and the base part being housed in or against a stationary part of the testing apparatus. The measuring disks or balls are symmetrically positioned and automatically centered in the tooth spaces to be measured, and the depth of penetration of the measuring disks or balls into the tooth spaces is measured by the testing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5016471
Abstract: A method for detecting faults, or inaccuracies in a test object which is a splined wheel having teeth of substantially similar shape, or in an object having a similarly shaped toothed profile, including rolling the test object against a counter splined wheel of a testing device with similarly formed teeth, which testing device includes a plurality of gauging elements which are introducible into the spaces between the two teeth of the test object, each gauging element having a curved testing cross-section engageable in the spaces between the test object teeth, the radius of the testing cross-section of the gauging elements is selected relative to the structure and shape of the teeth of the test object so that the testing cross-section rests on the test object tooth flanks at points between the top and the base of the tooth, alternately only one of the testing cross-sections, then two of the testing cross-sections, then again only one of the testing cross-sections and so as, is introduced in the spaces between

  • Patent number: 4958969
Abstract: An adapter sleeve, the diameter of which is altered by means of the pressure of a fluid, whereby, as a result of this change in diameter, an object is held by means of the clamping force of the adapter sleeve, characterized in that the adapter sleeve is made of titanium or a titanium alloy and comprises a hard layer on the side which is adapted to clamp the object.

  • Patent number: 4825903
Abstract: A pressure control valve is disclosed including a housing, a valve seat, a valve closure member in the form of a ball loaded by a valve spring in a closing direction and controlling the communication between an inlet and an outlet of a pressure medium. So as to provide a pressure control valve which is simple in construction and low-cost manufacture and which is characterized by minimal noise formation a spring loaded guide element at least partially surrounds the valve closure member and axially and radially guides the valve ball, acted upon by a second spring.

  • Patent number: 4594762
Abstract: A pickup head for measuring and assembling procedures. A central member which is axially blocked on the object, is pivotable about an axial angle through the intermediary of a cam drive constituted of at least one arbor or ball on a housing and an inclined groove on the body, at an axial lift of the hosing against the force of springs, and including a switch which, upon a predetermined axial lift of the central member, will effect a feed and return movement.

  • Patent number: 4517743
Abstract: A gauge for checking the quality (accuracy; tolerance: trueness) of gear teeth is provided with a set of gauging teeth which, when the gauge is used, mesh with the teeth to be checked. This effects automatic alignment of the actual contact pins relative to the teeth to be checked.
