  • Publication number: 20110262336
Abstract: The invention relates to a complete method for producing pure silicon that is suitable for use as solar-grade silicon, comprising the reduction of a silicon oxide, purified by acidic precipitation from an aqueous solution of a silicon oxide dissolved in an aqueous phase, using one or more pure carbon sources, the purified silicon oxide being obtained, in particular, by the precipitation of a silicon oxide dissolved in an aqueous phase in an acidifier. The invention also relates to a formulation containing an activator and to a device for producing silicon, a reactor and electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20110262339
Abstract: The invention relates to a complete method for producing pure silicon that is suitable for use as solar-grade silicon, comprising the reduction of a purified silicon oxide using one or more pure carbon sources, the purified silicon oxide, which was purified as silicon oxide dissolved in an aqueous phase, having a content of other polyvalent metals or metal oxides, in relation to the silicon oxide, of less than or equal to 300 ppm, preferably less than 100 ppm, especially preferably less than 50 ppm and according to the invention less than 10 ppm of the other metals and being obtained advantageously by gel formation in alkaline conditions. The invention also relates to a formulation containing an activator and to the use of purified silicon oxide together with an activator for producing silicon.

  • Publication number: 20110214425
Abstract: The object of the invention is a more energy-efficient system for utilizing waste heat and residual gases from the engineered generation of carbon compounds, such as carbon black, graphite or from sugar pyrolysis, using a coupling of energy-heat or a thermal heat-generating plant for generating electrical energy, in particular for operating melt furnaces, and/or for utilizing the waste heat in endothermal processes. The invention also relates to the use of waste heat.

  • Patent number: 5401328
Abstract: A device for cleaning mechanical appliances, small parts and/or electronic switch units using cleaning liquids comprises a cleaning chamber ventilated by means of a fan. A baffle plate is arranged in front of an intake opening of the chamber. A door provides access to the chamber. A discharge chamber below the cleaning chamber collects the cleaning liquid for regeneration. The cleaning chamber is mounted above a square, closed substructure. The delivery connection piece of the fan is connected by a pipeline to the base region of the substructure. A ventilation pipeline leading both into the cleaning chamber and an evacuation pipeline opens into the upper region of the substructure. A rotary table in the cleaning chamber holds the objects to be cleaned. The cleaning chamber has at least one rising pipe which is supplied with cleaning liquid by a pump and which has spray nozzles directed toward the rotary table.

  • Patent number: 4166308
Abstract: An arrangement for fixing folds or pleats of curtains or drapes which includes a retaining plate member and a fold clasp member which can be elastically locked together with the retaining plate member. The fold clasp member has arranged on a front side thereof at least two mutually aligned fold clamping devices defined by webs which are spaced from one another so as to define a fold or pleat receiving slot. One of the clamping devices projects at a further distance from the front surface of the fold clasp member than the other of the clamping devices. Centrally arranged locking devices are provided on the retaining plate member with elastically deformable wings being provided on both sides of the locking devices, which wings extend with outer longitudinal sides into the proximity of the retaining plate member.

  • Patent number: 4126921
Abstract: An arrangement for packing, storing, transporting and hanging ready-made curtains or drapes which are provided at upper edges thereof with holding devices for fixing folds or pleats. The holding devices include coupling elements for coupling the holding devices with at least one of a number of curtain or drape hangers arranged at a mounted curtain or drape rail. The hangers include further coupling elements complementary to and cooperable with the coupling elements of the holding devices. A carrying device is provided for carrying and accommodating an entire width of a curtain or drape with detachable coupling elements being provided at the carrying device for detachably coupling the carrying device to at least one of the hangers arranged at the mounted curtain or drape rail.

  • Patent number: 4125143
Abstract: A hanging arrangement for curtains and draperies which includes a holding member permanently attachable to an upper edge of the curtain or drapery which holding member serves for the fixing of pleats or the like. A roller hanger or sliding hanger is detachably connected to the holding member and is displaceably guided in or on a curtain or drapery rail. The holding member and the roller or sliding hanger are joined by way of at least one pin engaging in a recess extending in the drawing direction of the curtain or drapery. The recess is partially open at one side and is arranged at the lower end of the hanger and/or at the upper end of the holding means. The at least one pin is attached at the upper end of the holding member and/or at the lower end of the roller or sliding hanger with the holding member and the rolling or sliding hanger each being resistant to a bending in the hanging plane of the curtain or drapery.
