  • Patent number: 5578006
Abstract: A suction catheter for sucking mucus and other fluids from the tracheobronchial area of a patient, has a flexible tube with at least one through lumen extending from a proximal end to a distal end. A thickened area is provided adjacent to the distal end in the form of a cylindrical portion for promoting guidance of the catheter in the tracheobronchial area of a patient. In addition, the lumen is provided with a funnel-shaped enlarged outlet.

  • Patent number: 4981477
Abstract: A tubular flexible suction catheter for introduction into the trachea and the bronchial system, has at least one continuous lumen for suctioning fluids out of a lung and a distal end zone that is fashioned to be wavy in an approximately W-shape in the longitudinal extension of the suction catheter.

  • Patent number: 4969878
Abstract: Tubular flexible probe for insertion in the wind-pipe or in the bronchial system, in particular for use as a suction catheter with a tube (10) having an outside diameter of roughly 5-8 mm and a length of roughly 30-50 cm. Its end, which can be inserted in the wind-pipe or in the bronchial system can be designed as an annular collar (12) and in the region of the annular collar may have holes (21) with at least one channel (2) having a diameter of about 1 to a maximum of 2 mm for the conveyance of medicaments. Its inlet (23) is provided with a connection piece (3) for attachment of a syringe.

  • Patent number: 4881542
Abstract: A tubular flexible probe for introduction into the trachea and, respectively, into the bronchial system, has a continuous first lumen with a connecting piece provided at the proximal inlet end for connection to a suction device and, extending therebeside, a further small lumen having a smaller diameter than the first lumen. A wall of the smaller lumen has a recess in the zone of the proximal inlet end of the probe with an elastic connecting hose being inserted with one end in the smaller lumen in the recess. For the alternating introduction of medicaments and, respectively, irrigation solution at a high exit velocity at the distal probe end through the smaller lumen and for removing secretions or the like by suction, the probe has a lenght of about 30-55 cm and an outer diameter of about 5-8 mm. The large first lumen has a diameter of about 3-4.

  • Patent number: 4484376
Abstract: A drawing frame for a spinning machine is provided with a blocking mechanism movable into a position between the upper and the lower feed rollers in the event of yarn breakage, to lift the roving from contact with the driven roller. A roving holder facilitating the holding of the tuft end of the roving between the drawing and outlet rollers is provided. This latter apparatus is coupled to the means for actuating the blocking mechanism for synchronous operation and is provided downstream of the inlet roller. It comprises a table extending beneath the roving and a rotatable shaped arm above the roving which arm is movable by the switching mechanism to simultaneously hold the front end of the roving.
