  • Patent number: 6901831
Abstract: In a fixture for supporting a workpiece in a machine tool by means of two support elements held in a housing with the workpiece lying on them, the support elements are configured as levers held in a rotating mounting in the housing, the levers being driveably connected together by means of a threaded spindle. The threaded spindle has counter-rotating thread sections in areas corresponding to the support elements, and each of the counter-rotating thread sections of the spindle engage in a sliding block, the sliding blocks being rotatably mounted in holes in the support elements. The threaded spindle is provided with a device for locking the support elements in a set operating position. The two support elements are jointly adjustable and lockable, so that they can be set and readjusted within a short time and in a manner so that production inaccuracies are precluded.

  • Publication number: 20040194593
Abstract: In a fixture (1) for supporting a workpiece (3) in a machine tool (2) by means of two support elements (14,15) held in a housing (11) and with the workpiece (3) lying on them, the support elements (14,15) are configured as levers (16, 17) held in a rotating mounting in the housing (11), with the levers (16, 17) being driveably connected together by means of a threaded spindle (31). The threaded spindle (31) has counter-rotating thread sections (32, 33) in the areas corresponding to the support elements (14, 15), and each of the counter-rotating thread sections (32, 33) of the spindle (31) engage in a sliding block (37, 38), the sliding blocks (37, 38) being rotatably mounted in holes (36, 37) worked in the support elements (14, 15). In addition, the threaded spindle (31) is provided with a device (51) for locking the support elements (14, 15) in a set operating position.

  • Patent number: 4571796
Abstract: Two juxtaposed cross slides provided with toolholders are slidably mounted on the saddle of a lathe. To permit an unrestricted use of lathe tools as well as of boring, drilling and milling tools, each cross slide is movable independently of the other. One of the two cross slides carries a turret on the side which is remote from the other cross slide. Said other cross slide carries a tool head, which comprises a tool spindle, which is adapted to be rotationally driven. That tool head is mounted for angular adjustment on an axis which is at right angles to the tool spindle, to the main axis of the lathe, and to the guide for said other cross slide.

  • Patent number: 4065098
Abstract: A wedge push-in apparatus for a tensioning press for a bundle of wires, wherein the individual wires are intended to be anchored by means of wedges in an anchoring head. In order to push-in the wedges there is provided a wedge push-in plate which can be actuated by means of lengthwise displaceable push-in elements which engage at the wedge push-in plate. The push-in elements are arranged at a common, lengthwise displaceable support in such a manner that, with the support located in its starting position, the push-in elements do not protrude into the interior of the apparatus. Means are provided in order to bring the push-in elements into their work position for the purpose of actuating the wedge push-in plate.

  • Patent number: 4064319
Abstract: An upset head and a method of producing the same at a high-strength tension wire, wherein there is formed a supporting seating surface at the transition between the head and the wire. The maximum head diameter is located in the third of the height of the head situated closest to the seating surface. The head diameter at the free head end is equal to or smaller than the wire diameter and the head possesses the shape of a truncated cone at its end section.
