  • Publication number: 20230107935
Abstract: This disclosure relates to digital video analysis. In one aspect, a method includes providing a user interface that enables a user of the computing system to select one or more seed video groups and one or more keywords, wherein each seed video group comprises one or more videos. The user interface is updated to provide candidate video groups selected based on the one or more seed video groups and the one or more keywords and, for each candidate video group, a first user interface control that enables the user to refine the set of candidate video groups to include video groups classified as being similar to the candidate video group. Data indicating user interaction with a given first user interface control for a first candidate video group is received. The user interface is updated to provide an updated set of candidate video groups.

  • Publication number: 20230081938
Abstract: This disclosure relates to digital video analysis. In one aspect, a method includes receiving data indicating one or more seed video groups that each include one or more seed videos. Data indicating one or more keywords is received. A set of candidate video groups that each include one or more candidate videos is identifier. For each candidate video group in the set of candidate video groups a co-interaction score and a topicality score are determined. A subset of the candidate videos groups is selected based on the co-interaction score and the topicality score of each candidate video group. Data indicating the subset of candidate video groups is provided for presentation.

  • Publication number: 20150293382
Abstract: A method of virtually fitting an eyeglass frame is disclosed. A virtual try-on module receives an image of a user wearing an existing eyeglass frame from a user device; determines eyeglass frame dimension information; determines pupil diameter and segment height; determines a set of frames based on a bridge dimension; and sends the determined set of frames to the user device for display. Another method of virtually fitting an eyeglass frame to a user is also disclosed. A virtual try-on module receives image and eyeglass frame dimension information; determines pupil diameter and segment height; provides a sample set of eyeglass frames, each eyeglass frame in the set of eyeglass frames having lenses with pad printer marks; determines a subset of the sample set of eyeglass frames; and sends the determined subset of frames to the user device for display on the user device of the user.

  • Publication number: 20150277154
Abstract: A method for providing eyewear to a customer includes touchlessly scanning eyewear selected by a customer with a laser tracer having a laser-camera assembly, producing from the laser-camera scan an electronic 3D representation of at least a portion of the eyewear, electronically transmitting the 3D representation to an eyewear part manufacturer, and, based upon the 3D representation received, manufacturing a finished eyewear product having the eyeglass prescription of the customer. An eyewear scanning system as the laser tracer employs the method by holding the eyewear within a housing. A scanner subassembly has the laser-camera assembly with the camera positioned at a fixed angle to the laser and sighted toward the eyewear. A scanner movement assembly moves the scanner subassembly with respect to the eyewear. A computer is programmed to conduct a scan of the eyewear with the laser and the camera and to produce the three-dimensional representation.

  • Publication number: 20150216409
Abstract: An autorefractor-keratometer device including a first laser scanning device that emits a plurality of laser scans, a second laser device that emits a laser pulse, a first detector that detects the plurality of emitted laser line scans to determine corneal topography, and a second detector that detects a reflection of the emitted laser pulse to determine sphero-cylinder refraction.

  • Publication number: 20140257839
Abstract: A computerized online lens ordering system is provided. A patient portal allows a user to enter identifying information and/or healthcare plan information and a purchase selection for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses. A vision plan eligibility module submits claims to an insurer based upon the healthcare plan information, determines an amount due by the patient, if any, based upon the purchase selection, receives any payment due and authorizes an order. An fulfillment module, for eyeglasses, obtains the patient's prescription and frame biometric measurements, produces a lens fabrication pattern for the lenses, automatically orders the selected frame and fabrication of the lenses based upon the fabrication pattern, and delivers a fabricated pair either directly to the patient or to an eye care professional business. For contact lenses, the fulfillment module automatically orders delivery of the contact lenses either directly to the patient or to an eye care professional business.

  • Patent number: 6408254
Abstract: A system for treating goods, in particular for coating optical substrates, under a vacuum, within a gas-tight sealable, evacuatable vacuum chamber (receiver) that can be provided with an inert gas atmosphere, includes a device for calibrating the gas pressure in the receiver for a respective operating cycle. The calibrating device has a calibration pressure vessel (2) having a volume (v) lower than the volume (V) of the receiver (1) and is connected in terms of flow with an inert gas source and the receiver (1) via actuatable valve fittings (3, 4), wherein the receiver (1) and calibration pressure vessel (2) are each linked via a pressure gage (5 or 6) with a computer (7), which controls the valve fittings (3, 4) for introducing the gas into the calibration pressure vessel (2) or receiver (1) by way of a downstream controller (8).

  • Patent number: 6082298
Abstract: A vacuum coating apparatus includes a carrier accommodating substrates to be coated; and an evaporation source vertically spaced from the carrier and emitting a vapor stream onto the substrates mounted on the carrier. The carrier includes at least two radially adjoining segments each accommodating at least one substrate to be coated and a hinge interconnecting adjoining segments for allowing a tilting motion of the segments to either side relative to one another up to a predetermined angle.
