  • Patent number: 5359181
Abstract: The device for transporting recording media (100), used especially in a fuser station of a printer or photocopier, comprises a counter-roll (201) and a feed roll (205), mounted movably relative to the counter-roll (201), between which rolls the recording medium (100) is transported by friction. Furthermore, a guide bar (214) is arranged in the manner of a balance beam with spacing parallel to the feed roll (205) and so as to be pivotable about an axis of rotation (216) relative to the feed roll (205). In order to press the feed roll (205) against the counter-roll in a force-compensating manner, as required, spring elements (218) are arranged on the guide bar (214) on both sides of the axis of rotation and are coupled to bearing elements (206) of the feed roll (205). The guide bar can be deflected via an adjusting motor (224) for controlling the position of the recording medium (100) between the rolls (201, 205).

  • Patent number: 5323944
Abstract: An arrangement for the lateral positioning of a recording medium (100) in a printer or photocopier comprises a scanning arrangement (S) for establishing the ACTUAL position of the recording medium and a motor-drivable roll arrangement consisting of a counter-roll (201) and a pressure roll (205) which can be pivoted onto and away from the counter-roll (201), between which rolls the recording medium is guided. Furthermore, an apparatus (E) is provided for the controllable adjusting of the pressing force at the feed roll (205) on the counter-roll (201) along its roll length, and a control arrangement (P) which registers the ACTUAL position of the recording medium (100) via the scanning arrangement (S) and adjusts the pressing force of the feed roll (205) via the said apparatus (E) as a function of a predeterminable REFERENCE position. The arrangement is used preferably in the fuser station of an electro-photographic printer for the controllable lateral positioning of the recording medium (100).

  • Patent number: 5177502
Abstract: What is required for the arrangement of modules (11) on a module carrier (13), for example in an optical character generator (1), is that the modules (11) be positively and non-positively fixed on the module carrier (13), particularly given the occurrence of thermal expansions. In accord with the invention, a fastening means (7) is provided for that purpose that is arranged in a bore (135, 135) inclined relative to the contacting surface of the module (11) and of the module carrier (13) and thereby detachably fastens the module on the module carrier (13). Arrangement for detachably fastening modules (11) on a module carrier (13), particularly for the character generator (1) of a non-mechanical printer.

  • Patent number: 4634810
Abstract: A station for accommodation of a chargeable, cordless telephone is provided with a hollow for receiving the cordless telephone. The cordless telephone contains a cassette provided with chargeable batteries which serve to supply the current and which are charged by a corresponding charging system of the station when the telephone is inserted into the hollow. For the accommodation of a separate cassette which also contains chargeable batteries, the station is provided with a further recess in which the charging system also has access to the batteries. A separate cassette can be accommodated in the further recess of the station and kept connected to the charging system in an uninterrupted fashion, independently of use intervals and charging intervals of the cordless telephone. Thus the separate cassette is at all times available for rapid exchange with the cassette contained in the cordless telephone.
