  • Patent number: 4739537
Abstract: A door handle arrangement has a bearing member (14) with a door handle bore (43) for mounting to the door leaf and also a door handle with a neck (11) which is axially inserted into the door handle bore (43). Conical segments (18) which are arranged around the neck (11) of the door handle are provided between the bearing member (14) and the neck (11) of the door handle. The conical segments have a conical outer peripheral surface and/or a conical inner peripheral surface, which cooperates in axially sliding manner with a corresponding complementary shaped counter-surface of the bearing member (14) and/or of the rotary spigot (12), and are biased axially by springs (15) in a direction which reduces the diameter of the opening which receives the neck of the door handle.

  • Patent number: 4607973
Abstract: A fastening arrangement for releasably interconnectable mounted and mounting members with an enhanced degree of theft-proofing, includes at least one female element on one of the members and at least one cooperating male element on another of the members. The female element is preferably provided on the mounted member in the form of a receiving opening having a cross-section corresponding to that of the male element, and a transverse bore extends through the wall of the member from its exterior to the receiving opening, the bore having an inner section and an outer section of which the latter has a small cross-section relative to that of the former and is preferably located so as to be not readily noticeable.

  • Patent number: 4597600
Abstract: In door hardware, the handle 1 on the inside of the door and the handle 2 on the outside of the door are interconnected via respective halves 21 and 22 of a handle pin. The door handles can be secured by means of set or clamping screws 25,26 with the handle halves. Moreover there are two escutcheon plates 6 and 7 which, following the mounting of the hardware to a door panel, are clamped against the door panel. The setscrew 26 for the handle 4 on the outside of the door is arranged in the region behind the outside of the escutcheon plate 7 on the outside of the door, namely preferably in such a way that it is invisible and inaccessible from the outside. The cooperation of the setscrew 26 and the handle pin half 22 permits preferably a finely stepped axial adjustment of the handle pin half with respect to the handle 2 on the outside of the door. The door handle is secure against dismantling from the outside and remains operable in the event of fire.

  • Patent number: 4592604
Abstract: Piece of furniture, particularly cabinet, with a bottom plate, a top plate, and side walls, whose extremeties are seated in elongated slots of supporting arms arranged parallel, superpositioned, and juxtaposed each other, which have receiving openings bordering on their front facing sides, and with at least one door panel secured to two selected supporting arms by means of hinges defining a hinge axis, which comprise frame portions with attachments projecting into the receiving openings and wing portions connecting the door panel rotatably with the frame portions, wherein the frame portions consist of bearing pins (24) insertable into the receiving openings, whereas the wing portions are connected rotatably with the frame portions, however undisplaceably in the direction of the hinge axis and are arranged at the ends of a bearing body extending between the frame portions, which has an elongated slot (43) in which the hinge-side edge of the door panel is concealed, as well as laterally and elevationally adjust

  • Patent number: 4524506
Abstract: An article is attached to a wall by mounting the article on at least one and preferably two or more holders which are in turn screwed to the wall. Each holder has a self-adhesive layer at its end face adjacent the wall and at least one screw hole for fixing it to the wall. The arrangement is such that the holders can be provisionally mounted on the article and then pressed against the wall in the desired position. The self-adhesive layers then temporarily secure the holders to the wall so that the article can be removed leaving the holders in the desired position on the wall. The screw holes in the holders are then used as a drilling jig for drilling the attachment holes in the wall. Screws are then inserted into the attachment holes, if necessary using wall plugs, and the article is then remounted on the holders. Provision is made for finally securing the article to the holders, for example by the use of spring loaded pins.

  • Patent number: 4422616
Abstract: A support arm for fastening to a wall features four longitudinally extending grooves displaced at 90.degree. intervals around its periphery and a central bolt for fixing the support arm by one end face to a wall. The grooves are adapted to receive the marginal edges of both shelf and side wall members and can be filled when not in use by removable elongate filling pieces. The arrangement also features locking grub screws interconnecting neighboring pairs of grooves for securing the shelves and side wall members and a further arrangement of grub screws extending parallel to the axis of the support arm and accessible through the grooves for adjusting the inclination of the support arm to the wall.In a further modification the support arm includes a support for a mirror which can be arranged to form the back wall member of a shelving unit.
