    Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide systems and methods for managing sets of structured data. According to one embodiment, managing a set of structured data can comprise identifying a plurality of elements within the set of structured data. Each of the identified elements can be assigned to a record having a predefined schema comprising content of the assigned element and a plurality of control attributes for the assigned element. One or more of the control attributes can be defined for each of the records and the records can be stored in a repository. Upon receiving a request for one or more of the plurality of elements, those elements to be made available can be identified based on the control attributes of the stored records. The stored records for the identified elements can be retrieved and provided to one or more users in response to the request.
