  • Patent number: 11103675
Abstract: The invention relates to urinary catheters having a catheter tube with a first connection on the distal end and at least one catheter eye to be positioned in the urinary bladder. The urinary catheters are distinguished in particular in that they may be used problem-free as indwelling catheters. To this end, disposed in the urinary bladder is a reservoir container that is connected via a channel running parallel to the catheter tube to a second connection as distal end of the channel. In addition, the channel is connected to the urethra via at least one opening of the channel wall.

  • Publication number: 20200306502
Abstract: Urinary catheters comprising a tube having an opening at the distal end, and at least one catheter eye that is to be positioned in the bladder, the tube comprising at least one wall region that can be inflated or filled relative to a wall region of the tube. The catheters can be used as permanent catheters that are retained securely in the bladder and completely empty said bladder. The urinary catheter consists of a plurality of layers that are applied in succession and are made of a rubber-like material. The wall region is at least one wall region of the tube, the wall region being at least two mutually separate layers made of the rubber-like material of the wall region. A component of the wall of the tube is at least one channel for inflating or filling or cleaning the wall region, so that the tube is integral.

  • Patent number: 7919307
Abstract: A device for supplying cell culture modules with nutrients has an arrangement of channels, pumps and valves in or on a plate. The valves may be pinch valves operated by deforming an elastic section of a conduit and the pump may be a pinch valve pump. The channels may be defined, at least in part, by the plate. The pumps, channels and valves may be located within the thickness of the plate. The device may be used to supply nutrients to cell culture modules according to a perfusion operation, a re-circulation operation and/or a combination of both.

  • Publication number: 20090311778
Abstract: A device for supplying cell culture modules with nutrients has an arrangement of channels, pumps and valves in or on a plate. The valves may be pinch valves operated by deforming an elastic cover over a solid body and the pump may be a pinch valve pump. The channels may be defined, at least in part, by the plate. The pumps, channels and valves may be located within the thickness of the plate and the cover. The device may be used to supply nutrients to cell culture modules according to a perfusion operation, a re-circulation operation and/or a combination of both. A pump may comprise a generally rigid solid body and a seal. The solid body may wholly or partially define an inlet channel, a plenum and an outlet channel. A port between the inlet channel and the plenum is covered by the seal. A surface of the plenum is deformable. Deforming the surface forces liquid in the plenum to push the seal to cover the inlet channel port and to flow through the outlet channel.

  • Publication number: 20090159521
Abstract: A filtration module comprises a housing having an inlet and an outlet; a plurality of hollow fiber membranes disposed in the housing, each membrane having a wall and a lumen open to the outlet; a porous shell disposed in the housing and encasing the plurality of hollow fiber membranes, the shell having an opening through which ends of the hollow fiber membranes pass; and a plug in the outlet, the ends of the hollow fiber membranes passing through the plug and the shell ending in the plug. A liquid treatment apparatus comprising the filtration module is also disclosed, as are method for making the filtration module and the liquid treatment apparatus.
