  • Publication number: 20140275741
Abstract: System and method of all-night sleep management integrates the sleep cycle into the wake cycle with the result that the individual's sense of wholeness and overall well-being is promoted and improved day-in-day-out. In different embodiments, the system and method of all-night sleep management provides audio that a media player plays without potentially disruptive transitions to help people to manage tinittus or help babies or others to fall and stay asleep or to prevent failing to fall asleep or to prevent waking up of otherwise sensitive sleepers and provides an audio, video or other signal that an audio, video or other media player plays incorporating pacing, binaural beats, waveform manipulation, brainwave entrainment, light frequency, amplitude and color modulation or other techniques to draw people from the awake state, through one or more initial, staged intermediate sleep stages and back into the awake state.

  • Publication number: 20140249359
Abstract: A sound machine having a pseudo random white noise generator provides white noise sound therapy of selectable tone/texture, bandwidth and/or peak frequency to those suffering from tinnitus or others seeking noise-masking or sleep or relaxation. The sound machine having a pseudo random white noise generator includes a user input interface having a tone/texture user input control, a band pass user input control and a peak select user input control. The tone/texture user input control selects the tone/texture of the white noise sound generated, the bandpass user input control the bandpass of the white noise sound generated and the peak select user input control provides the ability to select frequency peaks of the white noise sound generated.

  • Publication number: 20140107401
Abstract: In one embodiment, an improved-customizability digital sound relaxation system having a sound card receiving port and a collectable sound card are cooperative to play prerecorded natural or other sounds by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches and a sound card selector switch. The new sounds of each collectable sound card customize the library of available sounds to individual taste. In another embodiment, an improved-flexibility digital sound relaxation system having at least two (2) prerecorded sounds stored at first and second memory locations of internal or external/internal memory devices may be selected and combined for concurrent and/or individual replay by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches and a combine switch, or by depressing one of a plurality of sound selector switches, a sound card selector switch and a combine switch.

  • Publication number: 20130233172
Abstract: An electrostatic precipitation air cleaner to reduce ozone output is provided. The electrostatic precipitation air cleaner includes a housing with an air inlet and outlet. Located in the housing are an air mover for moving a stream of air along an airflow path between the inlet and the outlet, an ion emitter electrode positioned in the airflow path downstream of the inlet for ionizing particulates entrained in the stream of air, a collector electrode having an inlet downstream of the ion emitter electrode, and an intermediate element intermediate the ion emitter electrode and the collector electrode. The collector electrode is comprised of a plurality of collector plates spaced apart in a direction transverse to the airflow path. The plates are electrically biased to create and maintain an electric field in the space therebetween to precipitate ionized particulates entrained in the stream of air onto a confronting surfaces of the plates.

  • Publication number: 20110237989
Abstract: A vibro-acoustical body support includes sources of audio and of low-frequency vibrational energy carried by or coupled to a chassis. The source of audio preferably includes an MP3 player and stereo speakers and/or headphones. The source of low-frequency vibrational energy includes a resonating chamber having a resonant wall provided by a diaphragm and a low-frequency transducer attached to the diaphragm that freely extends into the resonating chamber. In one presently preferred and exemplary chair topper embodiment, the chassis has an orthopedic S-shape and the diaphragm is arranged as a back supporting resonant lumbar plate.

  • Patent number: 7875104
Abstract: The disclosed electrostatic precipitator cartridge for a tower air cleaner in accord with the present invention is low-cost, because it is constructed of injected molded plastics material and stamped and extruded metal components. It is easy to clean, not only because it's constitutive metal parts and plastic components are machine washable but also because the cartridge as a whole is machine washable, the pieces and components are designed and arranged to prevent intracartridge fluid buildup or retention after washing, thereby eliminating any electrical shorting or arcing or other undesirable phenomena resulting therefrom that could interfere with the operation of the electrostatic filter cartridge.
