  • Patent number: 11855249
Abstract: A method for producing an electrochemical energy storage cell is provided. A current conductor, which is configured for electrically connecting an electrode stack to a cell terminal and has a contact arm, is positioned relative to the electrode stack such that an edge of the contact arm abuts a first lateral surface of a conductor arrangement that projects out of the electrode stack. The conductor arrangement is bent around the edge of the contact arm such that the first lateral surface of the conductor arrangement rests at least in part on a first contact arm lateral surface. The contact arm is supported on a second contact arm lateral surface opposite the first contact arm lateral surface. A contact pressure is exerted on the conductor arrangement resting at least in part on the first contact arm lateral surface, and the conductor arrangement is connected to the current conductor.

  • Patent number: 11806813
Abstract: An accumulator assembly includes first and second accumulator cells, each of which includes at least one electrical connection element. The accumulator assembly also includes a cell connector element which electrically connects the electrical connection element of the first accumulator cell with the electrical connection element of the second accumulator cell. The cell connector element is welded at least onto one of the electrical connection elements via a plurality of welding locations. The number and the location of the welding locations are selected according to an expected current density in such a way that more welding locations are arranged at locations with a higher expected current density, and zero or fewer welding locations are arranged at locations with a lower expected current density.

  • Publication number: 20220166117
Abstract: A cover assembly for a cell housing of a prismatic battery cell for a high-voltage battery includes two cell terminals for electrically connecting to a respective cell-external connection and to a respective electrode of a galvanic element of the battery cell, and a cover plate for covering the cell housing having two through-openings for the cell terminals. At least one of the cell terminals is overmoulded with an electrically insulating plastic for retaining same on the cover plate, and additional electrical connection contacts for a cell-internal heating device for heating the galvanic element are guided through the through-opening for the at least one cell terminal, the additional electrical connection contacts being overmoulded with the electrically insulating plastic for electrically insulating same from the cell terminal and the cover plate.

  • Publication number: 20210242522
Abstract: A hybrid battery component has a plastic housing filled with an electrolyte solution that is open on both sides. An electrode stack is arranged in the plastic housing and has at least one cathode and at least one anode. Two covers are provided made of a metallic material, wherein a first cover completely covers a first opening and a second cover completely covers a second opening of the plastic housing in a fluid-tight manner. The at least one anode is electrically conductively connected to the first cover by a first contact element and the at least one cathode is electrically conductively connected to the second cover by a second contact element.

  • Patent number: 11056742
Abstract: A method for applying a rupture element to a housing part of a battery cell, more particularly to a housing part provided for sealing a battery cell, includes the following steps: providing the housing part, wherein the housing part has an inner side facing the interior of the battery cell and an outer side facing the exterior of the battery cell. A hole is provided in the housing part, through which in the event of a malfunction, in which pressure in the battery cell reaches an inadmissably high level, pressure can escape into the surrounding area. A plate-shaped rupture element is provided, which is at least slightly larger than the hole. The plate-shaped rupture element is applied to the hole from the outer side such that it fully covers the hole and an edge region of the plate-shaped rupture element is joined all around to an edge region of the housing part, which extends around the hole, such that the plate-shaped rupture element fluidically seals the hole.

  • Patent number: 10593924
Abstract: A cell contact-making system for a cell module which has at least two electrochemical cells includes at least one support component, which can be fixed to the other cell module, for supporting at least one cell connector, which electrically connects the two electrochemical cells to one another. At least one covering component covers the cell connector on a side which is averted from the electrochemical cells. In order to provide an automated cell contact-making system which is producible in a more cost-effective manner and has integrated electric shock protection, the covering component is a flexible plastic film and, in a stretched state, is partially cohesively connected to the support component.
