  • Patent number: 7616266
Abstract: A liquid crystal projection system has a dichroic mirror, a reflecting prism, a first and a second polarizing component, a dichroic component, a modulating device, and a projection lens. The dichroic mirror splits a polarized light source into dual primary color lights and a single primary color light. The reflecting prism receives the single primary color light and reflects it. The first and second polarizing components polarize the dual primary color lights and the single primary color light, respectively. The dichroic component is disposed beside the first polarizing component, and splits the dual primary color lights. The modulating device is disposed beside the second polarizing component and the dichroic component, and modulates the dual and single primary color lights into the other polarization and then reflects them. The projection lens is disposed beside the first polarizing component, and project the output light beam to a screen.

  • Publication number: 20060170614
Abstract: A large-scale display device has a plurality of display units, a plurality of screens and a plurality of adhesive bands. The plurality of display units is arranged in a matrix, and Frensnel lens screen(s) and diffuser screen(s) are correspondingly overlaid on the display units. The adhesive bands are used to affix the screens to the plurality of display units, or affix the plurality of Fresnel lens screens to the plurality of display units, followed by disposing a large-area diffuser screen on the previous screens. The sizes of the gaps between adjacent display units and the dark stripe in the large-scale image are thus reduced, such that the aesthetic feeling of the large-scale image is enhanced.

  • Publication number: 20050024577
Abstract: A liquid crystal projection device includes a light source for providing light beams; an optical lens module for receiving and projecting the light beams along an incident light path; and a FLC modulator disposed on the incident light path for receiving light beams transmitting along the incident light path, the light beams then being modulated into image light beams by the FLC modulator, wherein the image light beams are reflected by the FLC modulator along a reflection light path, and wherein the incident light path and the reflection light path are situated at an non-zero angle.
