  • Patent number: 6290115
Abstract: A quick-release device for a pneumatic nail gun with a magazine has a base, a pusher plate, a spring and a button. The base has a through hole defined in the top of the base. The pusher plate has a first end that normally extends into the channel of the magazine and a second end. The spring abuts the second end of the pusher plate. The button is moveably mounted in the base and extends out from the through hole. The button abuts the second end of the pusher plate, such that the pusher plate can be pivoted by pressing the exposed button. The finger of the user does not extend into the device. Consequently, the operation of the quick-release device is simplified, and the finger of the user will not be injured during the process of clearing jammed nails.

  • Patent number: 5992283
Abstract: A saw blade mounting structure for curve sawing machines that allows buffer play, includes upper and lower saw blade clamps opposedly arranged in a mirror image at front ends of upper and lower support arms adapted to position both pin type and plain type saw blades. an adjusting seat having a post on an upper side for receiving a compression spring therein and a lower side connected to the upper saw blade clamp. The adjusting seat and compression spring are placed in a recess at the front end of the upper support arms with a threaded section of a rotary shaft passing through an upper portion of the recess to lock into a threaded through hole of the adjusting seat to a certain depth, which is adjustable. The rotary shaft has a portion exposed on the outside and connected to a detachable eccentric locking knob. When mounting a saw blade, the locking knob may be turned to exert an eccentric force on the adjusting seat so that the latter elevates to pull the saw blade tight in an optimum position.

  • Patent number: 5778747
Abstract: In a power saw, such as a power miter saw or chop saw, an approximately planar work surface is provided for supporting a workpiece, a frame is pivotally mounted adjacent to the work surface, and a blade is rotatably supported on the frame above the work surface. The frame and blade are pivotable between an upper, non-work position spaced away from the work surface, and a lower, work position located toward the work surface for engaging with the blade a workpiece supported on the work surface. A motor is mounted on the frame and is drivingly connected to the blade for rotatably driving the blade. An ergonomically-designed handle assembly is also mounted on the frame, and an arm of the assembly extends along a first plane oriented approximately parallel to the work surface when the frame and blade are located in the lowered, work position, and a handle projects downwardly from the arm and extends along a second plane oriented at an angle of at least approximately 50.degree. relative to the first plane.

  • Patent number: 5778752
Abstract: In a scroll saw, a motor is drivingly connected to the saw blade for reciprocating the blade, and a table defining an approximately planar work surface for supporting a workpiece is pivotally mounted on a frame with the saw blade extending through a slot formed in the table for cutting the workpiece. The work surface defines a first side extending laterally on one side of the blade, and a second side extending laterally on an opposite side of the blade relative to the first side, and the first and second sides of the work surface are each tiltable about the 0.degree. plane through upper and lower angular segments of approximately 45.degree.. An angular adjustment member is connected between the table and frame, and a plurality of stop surfaces are angularly spaced relative to each other in select angular locations on its lower edge.

  • Patent number: 5639192
Abstract: A drill press having an assembly for preventing a drawer from being completely removed from a drill press. The drill press has a base in which the drawer is received, the base having an opening formed between two side portions of a bottom member of the base. Each of the side portions has a plate fixedly engaged thereto with a part of the plate extending into the opening and having an aperture formed therein. A positioning element is fixedly engaged to each plate and has an extension extending through the aperture. The extension of each positioning element has a first and a second inclined surface formed on a top end thereof. The drawer has a first stop and a second stop laterally extending from each of the two sides thereof, wherein the first stop is shorter than that of the second stop and the drawer is stopped by the second stop being blocked by the extension of the positioning element.

  • Patent number: 5577152
Abstract: A motor assembly includes a brushless dc motor and a driving unit. The driving unit includes three first power transistors, each being activable to connect a respective one of three windings of a coil unit of the dc motor and a power supplying circuit. A comparing unit compares a reference voltage signal equal to a desired motor speed from a speed setting unit with an analog voltage signal corresponding to the rotating speed of the rotor from a frequency-to-voltage converter and generates an analog error voltage signal. Each of three second power transistor corresponds to one of the first power transistors and is activable to connect the power supplying circuit and a respective one of the windings of the coil unit.
