  • Patent number: 9605976
Abstract: A multi-tier limit-angle protection device detects a rotation angle about a rotation axis of a driving apparatus to thereby control the operation of a driving motor of the driving apparatus. The multi-tier limit-angle protection device includes a first-axis potentiometer for generating a first-axis sensing signal, a first-axis limit-angle detecting module for generating a first-axis confirming signal, and a controller. • Patent number: 9593965
Abstract: A non-contact adjustable hysteretic magnetic encoder includes a bipolar magnetic block, two magnetic sensing components, a storage, and a controller. After retrieving the current rotation angle by accessing a rotation angle table, the controller determines, by an encoding rule, digital logical values of a first phase signal (A-phase signal) and digital logical values of a second phase signal (B-phase signal) and outputs the digital logical values. The phase difference between a first phase signal and a second phase signal is adjusted, and a hysteresis range, also known as hysteresis angle, is adjusted, according to the grids attributed to the predetermined number of grids before the turning point and the grids attributed to the predetermined number of grids after the turning point. Hence, the non-contact adjustable hysteretic magnetic encoder features enhanced potential of expansion and marked industrial practicability.

  • Patent number: 8000860
Abstract: The present invention relates to a steering angle sensor, which includes a substrate. A shaft bore and a first gear are adapted on the substrate. The first gear has a shaft sleeve, which passes through the shaft bore. And a steering column of a steering wheel passes through the shaft sleeve. A second gear is adapted on the substrate, and is in mesh with the first gear. A rotary sensor is located atop and assembled with the second gear. Besides, a signal processing circuit is coupled electrically with the rotary sensor. By simply meshing the first and the second gears and passing the steering column of the steering wheel through the first gear, when the steering wheel turns, the second gear will be driven to turn as well, which, in turn, drives the rotary sensor. Thereby, the number of components in the steering angle sensor is reduced, and the volume thereof is reduced effectively as well.

  • Patent number: 7957930
Abstract: An angle sensing system for sensing a rotating angle of a steering wheel includes a sensing unit, a processing unit, and a storage unit. The sensing unit detects the rotating angle of a steering column connected to the steering wheel and outputting a sensing signal based on the rotating angle. When the steering column rotates for a circle, the sensing signal presents a non-continuous status. The processing unit calculates the relative angle in a single loop of the steering column based on the sensing signal and the number of loops according to the number of the non-continuous status. The storage unit stores the information of the relative angle and the number of loops. Based on the number of loops and the relative angle, the rotating angle of the steering wheel is detected.

Abstract: The invention discloses an angle sensing system for sensing a rotating angle of a steering wheel. The angle sensing system comprises a sensing unit, a processing unit, and a storage unit. The sensing unit is for sensing the rotating angle of a steering column connected to the steering wheel and outputting a sensing signal according to the rotating angle. When the steering column rotates for a circle, the sensing signal presents a non-continuous status. The processing unit judges the relative angle in a single loop of the steering column according to the sensing signal and the number of loops according to the number of the non-continuous status. The storage unit can save the relative angle and the number of loops. According to the number of loops and the relative angle, the rotating angle of the steering wheel could be sensed.
